Is this the place where we talk about the recent autonomous zone in Portland?
By their boneheaded definition, colonization is "taking land that isn't yours as your own." With that logic, would they be considered "colonizers" because they just decided to occupy land that isn't theirs? They're probably decreasing the value of that neighborhood.
I guess they took a lesson from several urban governors and made territory.
I've seen in a few articles that the protestors are claiming this is 'indigenous land' because one of the black folks living in the house has got some American Indian in them; another report is that the protestors say it's not only indigenous land, it was UN-CEDED by the local heap big chief to the white men, and has always been the Red Man's land.
Apparently, the family's problems are because their dindu son caused a fatal car wreck, and they took out a loan to protect his rights and pay the lawyer. Later, he was nailed again for DUI with cocaine in him and a suspended license and in a unverified report, he now identifies as a sovreign citizen who don' gotta follow no laws and shieet. Oh, and he changed his last name to Nietzche (appropriating it from white people!).
This is shaping up to be a real tornado of autism and a parade of sheboons, dindu's, soyboys and all the usual suspects making outragous claims; unfortunately there's also a GoFundMe to raise money so they can buy the house back from the bank so it will probably peter out before anything good happens. Someone threw fireworks at the barricades and protestors last night, though, supposedly.
