Amending the state constitution is not likely to succeed. State constitutional amendments have to get a two-thirds majority in the state House and Senate. There are still enough Republicans in both chambers to block an amendment, and they'd probably get some Blue Dog Dems from rural districts to join them. They are pretty much limited to adding more restrictions to RCW 9.41.300 or enacting more initiatives like I-1639, as legally dubious as that one was.With the rise of shootings in Seattle, I can see an attempt at amending the state constitution soon that would remove the 2nd amendment. Seattle has wanted to ban guns forever but they were blocked by the state constitution and Seattle's relatively low gun violence.
I hope Horace Anderson recovers and gets the hell out of White Center. That place is so ghetto even Burien doesn't want to annex it. The Wuflu plus the crime wave has to have put a total halt to the attempts to gentrify it.
