Yesterday, with the help of National Guard, Seattle police evacuated the East Police Precinct (a), located in the Capital Hill neighborhood of Seattle. This has been the site or most of the constant BLM protests in the city. For those who aren't aware, Capital Hill is the most leftist part of Seattle, which itself is one of the most leftist cities in the country. Imagine if Tumblr was made real.
Protesters have barricaded the area around the police station, and declared the "Capital Hill Autonomous Zone", or "CHAZ" (a) for short. So far, they have expanded the barricades, and are protesting inside city hall tonight (a).
They have come out with a long laundry list of demands for the city, state, and federal government (archive).

While this all comes off as a colossal LARP (just yesterday, they were screaming for police when someone with a gun accidentally came in), it looks like they are hunkering down just like #Occupy. I'm starting a thread in Happenings, since this is going to be a hotbed of now declared terrorists and could get out of hand very fast. Already hearing stories of people being threatened with knives for taking photos.

**UPDATE**: Orange Man in Chief is weighing in on the situation, mocking the local and state government, and sending a clear message that if they don't do anything about it, he will sending in military forces. What was looking like a lame #OccupyWallstreet repeat just escalated to a level 3 to level 4 happening.
