The New Orleans Police Department is searching for a person seen wearing a "Star Wars" costume wanted in connection with a stabbing incident.

The stabbing incident happened in the 700 block of Toulouse Street on Saturday.

Police say around 8:50 pm. a street performer known to wear a costume of the "Star Wars" character Chewbacca – reportedly stabbed the victim with a knife after a verbal disagreement.

The person's actual identity is unknown, according to police.

Police say a witness stated that the person's costume head came off during the altercation and revealed the suspect to be a man possibly in his 20s.
