I saw these vlogs about 3GD and the Yangtze river. The first one mentionned then China go full propraganda with flowers and everything is fine while the second vlog talk of the level of the Yangtze being more lower and some speculated then they lowered the water level to fix the cracks on the dam.

One Youtuber posted some infos about the Yangtze river basin.

The large 1000 mile long band of rain forecast in the Yangtze River basin south of the river from beyond Wuxi in the east to beyond Chongquing in the west seems to have abated somewhat for the time being. However in the upper reaches in Myanmar west of ShangraLa the familiar area of rain is forming and moving east. It should be noted that this is a tricky area. The Yangtze river basin does not extend far to the west from the river. This is because of the steep valleys where the elevation is 6000 to 7000 feet above sea level and there are other rivers that drain away from the Yangtze in another direction due south away from the Yangtze and don't interconnect with it. Therefore a difference of 50 to 200 miles can make a big difference in how much rainwater reaches the Yangtze system

Not if they have a false sense of security their dam will hold, reduce maintenance/give the maintenance to the really shit contractors (i.e. the ones who make the styrofoam cement and shit) because it's a sturdy as hell dam so doesn't need any, and then they get whacked with another flood on the scale of last year. Give it another decade.

"Planning on doing" and "doing" are two different things. Spending on money on the Three Gorges Dam means they can't spend money on new dams, powerplants, or giant cities where any day now millions of people will live.

So what I gathered is because they didnt show the front of the dam its still on the table for being broken?

Im not an engineer but how would the back be not bending but the front MIGHT show damage?

The only thing that makes me sus is the old images from last hear showed only maybe 3-4 of the orange towers and I feel this video showed a lot more this time. But a monster like this will always be in a state of repair.

Even if the dam doesn't go, in all likelihood more of China's farmland will be ruined for quite a while like what happened before. They're screwing themselves slowly even if the big one doesn't come.
