I really hesitate to shit on Rani because @Dynastia attests that she's really cool. I have the utmost respect for Dyn as he once managed to expose a sadistic, unrepentant pedophile for the scum he was for all here to see, & was able to convince that guy's then-girlfriend to get out of their abusive relationship. So I'm gonna cross my fingers & hope that cool!Rani is still there, she's just letting her opinion of Chloe color her opinion about everyone else. Seriously, Chloe's seething hate for anyone who is successful and has money disgusts me. He honestly believes that the people who have more money than him, like Brianna Wu, Notch, PDP, Markiplier, etc., OWE HER some of their money and success because he's a worthless have-not. Not really. It's the kind of game that could so easily have been shit if anything was wrong with it. A 2d platform relying on atmosphere/jumpscares? If anything was slightly off, the music, the pacing, etc., the atmosphere would be ruined and the game would be so shit you probably couldn't even see how it could be good, and the dev wouldn't realise it's bad and unfixable until the game was 95% done. I wouldn't be surprised if Chloe had a hard drive full of almost-finished games that didn't come together properly at the end.

That's definitely the case, I can't even count the amount of games that she's started but not finished.

I was kicking around this hypothesis that Chloe just cannibalized her previous projects, and the work that programmers did on them for this and just only credited herself. BUT, it's total head canon and I can't actually find anything back it up. All the evidence points to her doing all the real work on this surprisingly reasonable game, so good for her. It'd be cool to get more of that and less a bloo bloo bloo muh suicides.

Homesick is kind of boring and wears thin before long. It doesn't help that the actual plot is clichéd as fuck (oh noes your in a house where someone was murderized and UR NEXT) and thin on answers (why is there a killer in the house? Why can't I just around and leave?) and the atmosphere breaks down when the killer starts popping out from beds, cupboards and boxes like a Looney Tunes character. It also doesn't help that the killer looks like the Wicked Witch of the West.

It's because it's full of tropes (which is very common for artist's first attempt, artists usually do mashups as they start to find their voice.) The concepts are just generic, but that's not bad for a cheap game with a small team. That + Virus Jiggling Fever (an arkanoid type game) lead me to believe if she spent her time making and finishing and selling games she could make her own money.

Rani, she can finish games and if she was, she would both be making her own money without begging and wouldn't spend 23 hours a day using her computer to collect enemies. And coding is no different than bitching on the internet re her "sicknesses;" if she can do the former she can do the latter.

She's basically saying all the time she's well enough to type 100,000 words a month of begging, bitching, skype chats and whatever - well OK Chloe, spend those coding instead of tweeting and hanging out with girls on Skype. Make your own nut instead of spending those 100,000 words yelling at people, which makes you negative dollars. I mean taking all her bullshit self diagnosis' and Munchhausen by internet diagnoses at face value she is still clearly well enough to use a computer ALL DAY.

And oh shit Chloe your job happens to be using a computer. So yeah, you're well enough to work on your own job, you prove that by spending so much time on the internet. Just use those keystrokes making a game and I'll actually buy the good ones like Homesick/VGF. You had the secret to conning me out of my money all along and you just didn't know it....

tl;dr It's hard for me to buy the "I can't do a job" argument when all her job requires is computering and the ability to finish a playable game, and she's proven even in her "illness" states she can do all that constantly. I have a theory to propose. Homesick, Jigglin' Virus Fever, and several of Chloe's better games were better games because Chloe had less to do with their production and as such, people who actually knew what they were doing could get shit done (Chloe herself especially). That Really Hot Chick is probably the worst game I've played on my Xbox 360, but a cursory look at the credits shows that John Paul Neumann was responsible for 90% of the work on it. It was a one-man project (pun not intended), and as such, has shortcomings that wouldn't be as apparent if a larger team worked on it.

In other words, the other games were better because someone held her ass to the fire.

On the other hand the game is slipshod hackery of which I have programmed better on the Commodore 128 in Garry Kitchen's Game Maker, so there's that. Chloe's not off the hook for having Giant Spacekat Syndrome (claiming all the work on her projects despite them essentially succeeding in spite of her involvement), and the truth will probably never be known without employees coming forward. What we do know is that for every Homesick she's released, there's been a That One Hot Chick. For every Jigglin' Virus Fever, there's a Super Noah vs. the Dinosaurs.

I really don't like punching works that are obvious labors of love, but a line needs to be drawn at some point. Anyone willing to release the likes of That One Hot Chick on a console is coming out the gate with a strike against them, no matter how sympathetic I am towards the little guy in regards to games development.

I agree with most of your post, but I must point out two things: 1) Super Noah was never actually released as a full game, there was only a "preview" video on YouTube. While a preview might give you some idea about what kind of game it is, you can't really judge it if you never had a full game to play, or not even a demo for that matter. 2) Take a look at the date in which the so called preview was uploaded to YouTube. It was clearly an April Fools joke, as Chloe specifically states in the comments to the video:

From what I can gather, Homesick was developed solely by Chloe Sagal. Unless she has completely supressed the other people who worked on it, one of her strongest games was all her doing. Which leads us for a couple reasons to the Chloe we have today

• She claims no one in Horrendous Games wanted to work on Homesick with her, and that they considered it a failure of an idea
• Chloe released it for free with optional donations but was confident that it would be her financial savior, because...
• Pewdiepie covered her game but described it as a "free game" and didn't explicitly mention "you should donate if you like it"

Chloe is known for scamming people, faking suicide threats, and Homesick - and pretty much nothing else. That Homesick didn't bring her the fame and fortune is a part of why she's as obnoxiously demanding as she is. No one supported her genius and "outside forces" such as the biggest youtube gamer ever covering her game have conspired to hold her back.

Today, let's look a little deeper into Rani Bakr, aka Rani Baker, aka Ralph Staurt Baker III. Rani has repeatedly said she has nothing to hide and for that I applaud her. That kind of attitude is the perfect one to take, but as long as she is linked to Chloe Sagal her life will have an indelible mark placed upon it. That is quite unfortunate, but such is the burden of dating a compulsive liar and notorious scam artist and extortionist.

Much of this information has been passed along to me by a growing number of sources who wish to remain anonymous due to the hostile nature of both Rani and Chloe towards the "airing of their past". Rani Bakr has at least one arrest on her record for driving without a valid license. It is unknown if this incident is related to her arrest while under the influence of PCP, but is included for completions sake. She spent a day in jail and was released on bond. Rani Baker, as of 2007, was a six foot white male of average weight.

Rani Bakr, as Ralf Bakr, has a history with House ov Discord (facebook), a self-described "collection of bohemians, artists, hackers, mystics, scientists, poets, and other exotic types occupying a 5 bedroom facility in the Texas medical center area." This translates to a group of undesirables throwing house parties and not charging enough in rent to maintain proper upkeep. House ov Discord has held such wonderful parties as their Military Fashion Show, a Nazi themed party with German house music.

Something else I was thinking about---I wonder how bad Chloe's health really is. Per all of our new friends, she never leaves her room, & time spent not sleeping all day is frittered away bitching on the internet. I seriously doubt she cleans & cooks. & Rani works all day, so the last thing she wants to do when she gets home is cook, I'd imagine.
