I'm so sorry, I've been lurking on here for quite sometime and I wanted to make this post. I'm sorry if I did this incorrect or if it's in the wrong Forum. I'm new to this and I'm probably one of the younger people that looks down on Chris-chan...I'm so sorry if a thread was already made about this :(

Anyways, I always wondered about this. Does Chris talk to his neighbors? I don't recall ever seeing them in a video. Do they know who Chris is or anything of the sort? I'm a bit interested in them as they've experienced many things living nearby his house, I would assume.

Marvin says that all of his neighbors are elderly shut ins like Barb and that Chris is the youngest person there.

It's a redneck shithole full of cheap, ugly houses and even uglier lawn furniture. It's a place where people burn their trash and decorate their yards with junked cars, where the human disasters we know as the "Chandlers" can go ignored and unnoticed (that is if you don't know who they are). Ruckersville has very little in the way of recognizable landmarks, history, and the only noteworthy person born there is NASCAR driver Phillip Morris. While most normal young people would resent being stuck in a redneck wonderland like Ruckersville, the lack of prospects or opportunities suits Chris, as it's just one more excuse to never leave his room, let alone get a job.

Chris claims to hate living in Ruckersville, as evidenced by his complaints in various videos, but only because he'd rather be in a near-identical suburb where he thinks he could live in a permanent time-capsule of his high school days forever.

I wouldn't be surprised if his neighbors didn't really notice him at all.

Oh, thank you. That very well explains why they are never truly spoken of. I knew the houses were old just by their designs and it seems older people attract to older houses, which of I assume they have been living in all of that time lol. Despite their age you would think that they would be bothered by Chris and react somehow but I guess hiding inside their houses works for them. They may just ignore it I guess.

Branchland ct is a really narrow dead-end street at the top of a hill full of narrow dead-end streets. The kind of neighborhood where people who don't really want to talk to anyone else live. I'd be surprised if anyone there noticed the apocalypse.

I love to read up on this good stuff in my free time and I have yet to come across something about them. From what I have read I would think that "prostitutes coming to Branchland" would be a noticeable incident. Not to mention trolls visiting the property/passing by. I don't think his court case was on TV, right? Never read anything about that. I do know that he's been on TV in the past. I would think it would be hard to ignore something/someone that constantly appears in some shape or form...

I think someone else said that, but it's probably on target.

I don't notice what happens with my neighbors until they start yelling or making noise. And I live in an apartment building. Chris goes outside and does something other than going to his car a handful of times a year, tops. I wouldn't be surprised if no one noticed him.

Alright, I can see your point there. I forgot how I "discovered him" myself, I think I was browsing on the internet and came across his stuff. I never really looked into Chris-chan until I realized the comic was drawn by a grown man. I could see it being harder to "discover" chris without use of the internet, even living near him or in the same town as him. He keeps to himself unless you are a boyfriend-free-girl or a troll.

Yeah, the elderly thing might be true. I forget where I heard this, but the most interaction Chris and Barb have had with neighbors as when they would speak their condolences about Bob's death, maybe sending in a pie or cake( :tomgirl: ). And yes, they would probably walk over to 14BC and knock. On the outside, the House of Horrors isn't much of a turnoff. You knock, are greeted by a cat scratching the door for mercy, then a slightly-grumpy old Barb. At least, that's what I've heard.

LOL makes sense. I wouldn't really associate myself with Chris either. I was just trying to determine what kind of neighbors he has. Some are the Friendly type and some won't even open the door to see who rang their doorbell. It seems he just has the silent type.

Yeah his neighbors already tried to get rid of him by feeding him poisonous honeysuckle.

Thank you for those. With over 1000 pages of info I am still making it around to new things. I'm a bit caught up with laughing at the video content, though. I've been job searching for my first job and this economy is preventing me from getting one. Luckily Chris keeps my job-hunting-spirit running by showing me what happens when you don't pursue goals in life.
