It's speculated nowadays that Barb's leash on Chris is so tight that he doesn't even venture into his iconic room that much anymore. It's mind blowing to think that the room where we saw so many tard rage, cosplaying, and just plain creepy videos from our pet lolcow may now very well be all but deserted and decaying, left as a breeding ground for bugs and God knows what else.

How often do you think Chris goes to his bedroom? Does he even sleep there anymore? Is it still as full of toys as it once was, or, God forbid, has :snorlax:'s hoard taken over the room entirely? Maybe the hoard has blocked access to the entire second floor, meaning he probably can't even go to the kitchen anymore?

I find this an interesting (and not unlikely) scenario. Like the ash of Vesuvius covering Pompeii, Chris' room preserved as it was at the end of the end of his Golden Age, buried or blocked off by the Hoard.

Maybe to grab stuff sometimes?

Nope.

Uhh, I don't know. I don't think the hoard's taken over his room, but I really know.

So where is he sleeping nowadays? Did he just switch rooms or is it like uninhabitable now?

Just taking a guess, but probably where ever Bob was living was the least cluttered room in the house so Chris may have moved there (despite possible insect infestation). Or he may just cuddle up with Barb now that he's the "man of the house".

If Barb is seriously keeping Chris from his own room at 31 years old, then I think Barb managed to be more self absorbed then Chris manages to be. I know she has 'holey ass syndrome' but surely that doesn't mean she needs attention 24/7 does it? If it does, when why is she still at home? She should be at some institution for that then. If by some strange occurrence Chris finally decides to be 'normal' and try to get a job, he wouldn't even be able to because Barb would constantly be complaining about her holey ass and she would probably threaten to change the locks in the house, again. I also hear he plays his vidya in front of Barb now and she is always bitching about blood and violence. To a 31 year old :stupid: .

Its this that in a way, does sadden me. He's not living anymore, yeah, he has consciousness, but no freedom. The way Barb treats him, its as if he is 5 years old again, or a pet. The only world experience he gets now, is a trip to the local McDonalds, or what he learns from Family Guy eps. It's actually is kinda sad that he'll never know of the pleasures in life, like going to the beach, or chillin with friends.

There's a lot wrong with Chris, and most of the shit that's befallen him is his own damn fault, but this is one situation that just doesn't sit well with me.
Every being, no matter how abrasive, smelly, selfish, and egotistical they are, deserves their own privacy and space. Chris is being denied this by his own mother for crying out loud.

makes me wonder if he even thinks of sneaking into his room when his mom is asleep :tomgirl:

I don't see Chris being denied anything by his mother, he's denying himself just by not snapping out of an infantile reading of the old chestnut, "honor thy mother and father." Oh, but she might threaten to, "change the locks on him!" If Chris can't change his own locks on himself without most likely (:_( , how's Barb going to go to the store, buy new ones and install them all on her own? He's just :stupid: and refuses to behave like an adult by setting some boundaries with his own mother.

On some subconscious level, Barb is treating Chris like shit out of revenge for a lifetime of being an exhausting autistic trainwreck. Chris has been a needy, unredeemable dependent since birth. Now Barb gets to be the dependent and Chris has to dedicate his entire life to helping her. The shoe is on the other foot.

The way :snorlax: treats Chris remind me of the basement rosechus Alec had in Sonichu 10. Chris described them as being kept as hamsters, now Chris is just Borb and Anna's pet hamster.

I agree completely, but would add that Barb brought that on herself mostly with the way she raised Chris to not be anything but an "exhausting autistic trainwreck," to use your phrasing. You reap what you sow applies here for both of them.

You have to be fair with how much you can really blame Chris for this. It's easy to judge from the outside looking in, but Chris doesn't have the same perspective we do.

The only influences Chris has had in his real life for the past few years straight now is Barb and possibly Rocky and they both very much tell him what to do. He has nobody he can turn to to encourage or foster any hint of rebellious behaviour. I'm sure Chris really wants to get away from Barb more than he can but he's got nobody to support these ideas. Anna's probably the closest but she's an online friend who only seems interested in giving out platitudes than actually providing real help. He's incredibly unlikely to make such a leap by himself as it's a big gamble for some very nebulous reward. Chris has shown he's willing to rebel before but he needs the right incentive.

He wouldn't go to Redmond to meet Miyamoto and make his Sonichu video game, but he would travel to Ohio to rescue Julie from Clyde Cash. When Chris has the right motivator (i.e china), he'll rebel, although I believe he also spoke to one of his online gal pals the night before he went to Ohio for support and encouragement.

He has no support this time round and there's a lot to lose if he genuinely believes Barb might change the locks. I'd also imagine Chris likes to deal in terms of more tangible rewards than 'freedom from Barb'.

I don't know, he's 31, a full grown, older male, I think at this point, the buck stops with TGD Chandler. Just because he won't turn to places like this forum (that offer a ton of very honest content that is good/GREAT advice for him to follow) while making excuses for why he can't discern legit help from dumb ]:(P doesn't mean he can't be the genesis of his own remaking of himself. A tangible reward is always a much more effective motivator for anybody, autistic man-child or otherwise, than a vague intangible one but it's not like he doesn't complain on his own volition about losing intangible benefits like freedom that he enjoyed while his dad was alive. I agree with you, he lacks the context mentally to understand how to improve his life right now, but the only person who can expand that context is CWC himself, so I say, it's right back in his lap. Plus what we know he began to explore with Rocky regarding post-Barb life planning shows that he's already beginning to come to the obvious conclusions on this front and is willing to make changes as necessary so at least there's an inclination toward doing something to improve his lot on his part.
