Wanted to discuss OPL's intelligence. The vast majority of his thinking is conditioning, and that, coupled with drastic under-use/under-stimulation of his mind gives him a the appearance of being unintelligent. I think could be smarter if he changed his lifestyle, since basically all of his various behaviors decrease mental prowess. As a rough guesstimate, I'd say that he has a 70-80 IQ, but that's just something I'm tossing out there.

I think a lot of his problems is that he just seems to lack common sense sometimes. He tells people in a video to never give out their personal information over the internet and then he goes and does it anyway.
He also has a very distorted view of the world and himself which is mostly Borb's fault because Barb did give him heaps of praise for doing nothing at all and taught him that he was a speshul snowflake and that he needs to let everyone know this at all times.

He's not retarded because he can do daily living activities but is either too lazy to do them or would rather have someone else do them for him.

If I remember correctly, average IQ is between 80-120. Yeah, he's definitely on the lower end of that range. I think someone said on the old forum that Paris Hilton has an IQ of 85. If it's true, yeah, CWC probably has an IQ in the 80s.

Anyway, he made it through high school in 4 years, presumably without repeating any classes, and made it through community college eventually. Again, he's not retarded, he's just really lazy and has a messed up view of the world.

He has a very good memory.

But only when he wants to use it.

And he only uses it for completely useless things (such as his thorough memory of every single Family Guy episode that he can whip out when he wants to prove his favorite characters are indeed heterosexual).

Most people have very good memories when they want to use it. It's not that remarkable.

Ask any sports fan and they can name lots of useless trivia about their favorite team, player or sport.

But weren't most of his high school classes special ed?

He had special ed classes but I think he was also mainstreamed.

He may have just had to take classes to teach him how to cope with his autism. Obviously, those coping classes had no long-term impact.

i think he meant mainstreamed as in there were no coping classes. he was dumped into the special ed classes at a normal school. that is why he changed schools. his parents didn't want him having to go to a school that may have specialized in autism treatment (which may be another idea motivated by not having to pay for it)

I'm reading the high school article on the CWCki and "A Week with Chris Chandler."

The CWCki said he may have gone to Manchester High and was mainstreamed but took special ed classes.

During his typical week, he had English, trig, computer graphics, Spanish II, photography, contemporary living and coping skills. English may have been for special ed students, but the rest look like mainstream classes. He may have had 2 special ed classes out of 7 for his seinor (sic) year.

Chris said he never slept during photography. That is a TRUE and HONEST fact.

He probably liked contemporary living because his gal pals were in it and they cooked stuff.

A lot of his classes do seem hands-on (photography, computer graphics and contemporary living) so they sound like fun, although those are classes most students take for an easy A or to pad out their schedule. That may help explain why Chris was on the honor roll - he took easy A classes.

Well, he was deemed Special Ed, and Spec Ed kids usually are automatically enlisted in an Honor Roll. What he likely did is take easy A classes and Spec Ed mandatory classes that also gave him As.

Wait, what? How does that work? Slow-in-da-minds get to just have a commendation that normal kids are expected to work for?

Well, you see, otherwise they might feel left out and it's unacceptable for these perfect snowflakes to face a single moment of hardship, lest they develop character.

In AN honor roll, not necessarily THE honor roll. It's been speculated that Chris was put on an honor roll for sped kids. Kinda hard to tell, considering how hard it is to nail down whether the school counted him among Gen Pop or not, what with his mix of mainstream and sped classes.

What's less uncertain is that his inclusion on any honor roll was more a parting gift than anything, a "thank you for not suing us" present.
