Sorry if a topic like this has been posted before. Anyway, I'm starting to wonder if Chris can feel pain, and if so, what his pain tolerance/threshold would be. The reason why is due in part to two videos. The first of which would be "The Goatee Will Grow Back," in which he shaves his face on camera in an attempt to prove to his "fans" that he is the real Christian Weston Chandler, and not Ian Brandon-Something. It is also apparent that Borb neglected to teach Chris the proper way to shave, because the idiot not only gives his face one of the most brutal, violent shaves ever; but he doesn't even use shaving cream, soap, hell even olive oil. As anyone would agree with me on this one, not only dry shaving hurts like a bitch, it also leaves the part of the body shaved a bloody fucking mess. I don't know, maybe he saw a video game character dry shave and though that since said character is doing that, and they're not in pain, the result would be the same for his face. He probably ended up with horrible razor burn a couple days later.

The second video that comes to mind is titled, "Lar's Ship Has Sunk," in which he utilizes a hand-built LEGO boat to represent I guess Lar's real one, and then proceeds to violently stomp on it to "sink" the damn thing. I'm going to go ahead and give everyone here the benefit of the doubt and say that we have all once in our lifetimes steeped on a LEGO brick. Even if our foot is naked, or has a sock on it; once you step (especially stomp) on said brick; you're going to be in a world of hurt. Chris not only stomped on the damn thing, he did it more than once, which leads me to believe that alongside the 'tism, he also has a neurological disorder called, "CIP", also known as, "Congenital Insensitivity to Pain", which basically mean the pain receptors in Chris's brain do not activate when he does something stupid to himself to voluntarily/involuntarily cause pain. During Chris's river dance on LEGO bricks, not once did he utter the word ouch, and we didn't see any physical signs he was in pain after the camera swung back around to his face. Now, if he doesn't have CIP, well, then, I guess he was either attempting to come off as a tough guy to Lars, Jackie, and the trolls; or he has high pain tolerance/threshold.

I've tried dry shaving before, and I have to disagree. It neither "hurt like a bitch", nor did it leave my face looking like it was introduced to a wood chipper. Admittedly, I didn't do it with nearly the force nor the gusto Chris did it with, but shaving as you would with cream and water doesn't make it any more painful; it just leaves your face feeling really dry.

Now to answer your question, Chris experiences pain, as Cosmos so graciously linked to one prime example. It's just that he's never been physically hurt, so he doesn't know what pain is like. It's possible he didn't initially feel the pain of tredding on legos due to a combination of 'tard rage and adrenaline. Remember, Chris prefers the path of least resistance, and he's lazy as shit, so he's not going to perform activities which require any real effort (unless he's doing it to impress a sweetheart or threaten a JERK) or have some risk of bodily injury.

I've done the something to my legs. It isn't a pain thing, but it can be very irritating.

Chris comes across as someone who can't tolerate physical pain, sure. I attributed it to him being sheltered. Emotional pain is something we humans struggle with and Chris never seems effected in the long-term by death or a fake girlfriend. He has never put effort into school or a job or a life partner and never had to. All he did was wait and expect all of it to fall from the sky.

He claims he wasn't bullied in high school, so him apparently having the power to feel no pain is no surprise to me.

He complained about the pain when those teachers were torturing him and recording his cries because he had autism. He states that his neck was red and he was traumatized by this beating.

So yeah, he does feel pain. Since he has no life expereinces that he tends to blow it out of proportion though, like all things.

Probably just did it that one time for dramatic effect. I wouldn't be surprised if he was just imitating a movie/anime.

Chris's ability to withstand physical discomfort is, at times, weirdly disproportionate to the rest of his sheltered life. However, I believe that Chris has developed a relatively abnormal pain tolerance due to his passive-aggressive nature. Look below:

1.) Stepped on Lego. Could have been avoided if he had put on shoes.
2.) Dry shaved. Could have been avoided if he had gotten cream.
3.) Stuck his duck in the snow. Could have been avoided by not doing it.
4.) Shoved a medallion up his butt. Could have been avoided by hanging up the phone.
5.) Has obvious signs of dental decay. Could have been avoided by brushing properly and going to the dentist.
6.) Has bone and joint issues ("jaw dancing an airy jig".) Could have been avoided by taking care of his body.

TL;DR: Chris seems to have a high tolerance for pain because he learned that it was faster to just suck it up--and it got him more sympathy points--than just taking some preventative measures.

The legos, i gotta say, may not have hurt. Im sure his feet are fucked up leather toe sock things from being obese and not being cared for.

I second the comment about dry shaving not being too bad. I almost never use shaving cream. Usually I use hot water in the morning, but I often do a quick dry shave if I am headed out for the evening. It comes from having a preference for being really clean shaven and not liking to spend a lot of time getting ready.

It is not bad if you know how to do it, especially if you are not using a brand-new razor blade. I am much more careful the first 3 or 4 shaves with a new blade.

As for the legos, if you are using your barefeet to stomp something, you are not stomping it into the ground. Your foot motion will take the lego into account. To put it another way, if the lego had suddenly disappeared, Chris would probably have stumbled a bit.

When you accidentally step on a lego, the lego interrupts a foot-ground motion unexpectedly. Your body doesn't react instantly, so the lego is driven further into your foot as the foot-ground motion continues. If you know the lego is there, the motion your foot is doing is calculated with that in mind, so there is a lot less pain.

Basically, I think Chris is a pussy, and I reject these pieces of evidence to the contrary.

Are you trying to tell me that the man who penned this masterpiece is incapable of feeling pain?
