Chris Avellone isn't dead, and he's back to break the silence.

On one hand, he's still sounding limp-wristed by using cucked language like "allow voices to be heard".

On the other hand, dismantling accusations in public view without resorting to a lawsuit, if done right, might be a cheaper way to achieve a similar result to what costed Vic Mignogna $300k+ and 2+ years of his life. That result being still having a modicum of professional life after being cancelled by drooling swines.

Shit like this is part of why social media is a blight upon society and all the more reason why the US legal system should (but won't) undergo massive reform to reflect the modern realities of retards' voices being "uplifted" and "allowed to he heard".

With such a long silence on his part I can't imagine that he doesn't know exactly what he's doing. Sounds like he is really sure about the lawsuit, and that "handing them another shovel" is what's going to happen. The public court isn't completely stacked against him since his metoo'ing was kinda incomplete and flimsy right from the start, and in the meantime people have defended him without any backlash. He might be able to come back from this, cancelling his cancelling.

I was unaware. I stand corrected then. That was the impression I got from his constant "I'm not silencing them" speech. Well, here's to hoping this goes better for him than it did for Vic.

Well, he's filing a Libel Lawsuit in California, so his Lawyers must be confident about prevailing when an anti-SLAPP motion is filed. Otherwise filing suit against Karissa in Illinois would have been more practical, because Illinois' anti-SLAPP law is weaker in comparison to California's, and there wouldn't be any potential jurisdictional issues.

His comments from the second Medium post tells us why he acted the way he did a year ago:

When Karissa and Kelly posted their falsehoods on social media, I got a great deal of conflicting advice from friends and colleagues. Among the advice was (1) never apologize, and (2) use the legal system in the manner in which it is intended. Both of these are contrary to my nature.

The “never apologize” rule felt inhuman to me. I quickly learned my mistake the night of Karissa’s accusations when I publicly apologized to Karissa’s friend Jackie for the bad break-up in 2014, and then I watched as that apology was taken, warped, and then upheld as an admission and an apology to Karissa herself. It was not true then, it is not true now.

Others suggested the legal route. I didn’t want to do this. Often, the legal system is used to silence others. I do not believe any good ever comes of this. I do not want to silence anyone — I want the opposite. I want Karissa’s and Kelly’s story to be not only heard, but elevated, and I want them to speak more about what happened.

And after they have spoken, I want my response and the responses of others who witnessed the allegations to be heard as well… but Twitter and Facebook are not the place for these conversations because they are unlikely to be heard.

He thought that these cunts would give their side of the story, and then he would have been able to give his. Chris didn't want to strike back immediately because he is a decent human being and presumed too naively that everyone involved would be decent as well.

Regardless of what he did back then, at least he is striking back and doing so in a way that punishes his accusers throughout the legal process; their money. I'm guessing his accusers aren't as wealthy as someone who has designed some of the most well-received video games of all time. So I'd take these women for all that they are worth. Fuck them up, Chris, fuck them up.

He needs to take that smarmy cunt for every shekel she's worth (which probably isn't much, admittedly). It sounds like he took the time to compile a good amount of evidence, so now he just has to hope the hyper-liberal Los Angeles courts don't fuck him.

In any case, I wish both Karissa and Kelly severe financial strain. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he doesn't appear to be suing Christy Dena, the Australian woman who accused him during a period where they weren't on the same continent. I guess he didn't want to spend an excessive amount since her accusation is the easiest to disprove, and I don't think she was actively slandering him on Twitter like Karissa has been.

When Chris came forward in 2018, he mentioned that he had set aside a legal fund to deal with any legal repercussions from Obsidian. He's engaged with a leading entertainment law firm who seem to specialize with defamation cases. His accusers should be scared. I see they both have privated their Twitters, and Kelly has even changed her avatar (it was previously of her face) and removed all identifying information from her bio.
