Simba has said he wants to roll out a buddy system on FV which sounds a little creepy:

I was making some updates to the Dragoneer thread when I came across something interesting. So Simba wants to run a Furry Valley convention. The FV Discord currently has just under 5000 members.

Dragoneer is another person who wanted to run a furry con, FurAffinity: United, specifically for a community he runs. I'm gonna use some numbers from 2015 since those were the easiest to find. In 2015, the FurAffinity website had 1,195,253 active users. But only 658 people attended FA: United 2015.
That's a whooping 0.05% of the total userbase.
If the largest furry website can't pull in 1%, or even 0.1% of its members to a convention, what does Simba hope to accomplish?
An FV furry con sounds like a shitshow just waiting to happen. IF it were to ever get off the ground, while it would probably mostly be FV members, there would likely be furs relatively local to wherever it sets up who would attend. What I'm seeing as the big catch right now is funding. Cons aren't cheap to put on. Even a con with 400 attendees can run a budget of $20-30k+ or more, depending on the location, the rental needs, etc.I was making some updates to the Dragoneer thread when I came across something interesting. After this message, this account will only be used for dropping things every couple of weeks until the entire thing is laid fucking bare.
I love how he says "everyone is Simba trope" and then immediately goes full on cultist supporter saying he'll post things on everyone who has commuted an "offense" of some kind. It's funny. When is this happening? I need more juicy drama!
This is just gross. Artists shouldn’t need to pay a tax to anyone but the government. You know, where it goes to fund public projects and whatnot.Simba approaches artists and offers them a "deal" where they pay him $30/mo to advertise their art on his Discord once a month. Then, through the "furry valley branding", they have to also pay him 30% of whatever the commissioners pay for any art from that point onward. I have proof but I'm trying to figure out a way to provide it without giving away the identities of three users who have agreed to remain in the server as moles.

That's exactly what one particular artist told me. They declined because it was ridiculous. Surprisingly he didn't try to blackmail them into paying him. And the $30 is quite literally for a single text only advertisement on his Discord server once a month. A single post every month.ok so....how the fuck is that even a fair deal? the average artist charges let's say $80 for a colour and shaded piece. 5 slot's a month adding up to $400 so they have to pay 30% of that which would drop it to 280 a month plus the $30 for advertising making the total of 250 a month. That is a huge loss to the artist for basically advertising to 10yr old's who spent their pocket money on fortnight loot boxes. Next Chris is going to blackmail kid's into using mummy and daddy's credit card. If my math is wrong. i would love for Chris to come and correct me.
