Goddamn. Still, with that many mods here's hoping loose lips sink ships. They might be in a constant struggle to keep outing one another's misdeeds to him but cults that get too big on no money run out of sustainability eventually, especially when their cash flow (new recruits) runs dry.

On the downside furries tend to have a lot of disposable income and/or poor spending habits to blow money on stupid shit, so waging a war of attrition would take a long goddamn time.

So it seems that, within the last month, Simba has implemented a list of chores that each of his admins are required to complete in order to maintain their rank. The shit they need to do in the higher ranks is like taking on a full time job. Higher-ups are required to speak in their section's general chat on Discord for 25 days out of any given month. Basically "speak only in FV because you're allowed no spare time to chat anywhere else."

Also attached is a "PM List", as he calls it, where admins are required to pester groups of users via DMs about events and whatnot regardless of their online status (DND, etc). Here's what one of those looks like.

Side note: BlazeSnep is history. I already knew he was, and mentioned it here a few times, but his lack of activity over the months should speak for itself. This is the only thing his account is used for anymore.

For those of you who don't want to open the documents, their contents can be found within the following spoilers.

Introduction
As discussed in the staff meeting on 2nd June 2019, I’m not happy with the current admin tier system (SCM/CM/CMT and SGA/GA/GAT). This document serves as the framework for the new system for admin promotion and progression within FV, from triallist to leader.

As a reminder of the key points discussed:

Some people are a higher rank than they should be, because FV doesn’t currently have a formal demotion structure. This could lead to quite rightful scorn by lower-ranking admins who do a better job than their seniors.

The criteria to be promoted are a bit too qualitative, and it’s difficult to ensure fairness to all (though of course we do try). Transparency will make sure that everyone who has a promotion gets one, and no one feels left behind.

There are too few tiers; within CM and GA ranks, the variance in capacity is vast. It’s unfair for an almost-SCM person to have the same rank as a person who is barely staying afloat, for example.

The new system proposed has six levels: level 6 is leader/co-leader, level 1 is triallist. If an admin is both a CM and a GA, their level shown will be for that which is higher (for example if they are a level 3 GA, but a level 1 CM, they would be labelled as level 3).

This document is not final at this point; you will all get the chance to contribute in refining the system until it’s at a place that we’re all happy with.

Level Definitions
This section seeks to enumerate the responsibilities for each level of admin. If you meet the requirements for the level above your current level, you will receive that promotion. If you are an admin at level 3 or above, the criteria are measured monthly. If you are an admin at level 2 or below, the criteria are measured weekly.

A one-period grace period is offered to those who unexpectedly do not meet the criteria for their current level before demotion (for example, if you are promoted to level 2 on 8th July, and fail to upkeep the required criteria by 15th July, you will receive grace for another week, and if it’s not met by 22nd July, that will be the date of demotion).

Level 1
You are an admin triallist within Furry Valley. Congratulations on passing the application! In order to keep your position, or be promoted, here is what is required, weekly:

GA
Keep up with #admin-announcements.

Keep up with your section’s admin chat.

Handle at least one section welcome.

Speak in your section’s #general chat on at least 3 separate days.

Spend 10 minutes recruiting new furries who play your game to our Discord.

Be active in the ingame clan/guild, if one exists.

CM
Keep up with #admin-announcements.

Keep up with your section’s admin chat.

Spend at least one hour in total contributing to your team.

Level 2
Well done on passing your admin trial. You now are the level of a standard admin in Furry Valley, and by keeping level 2 already are doing a good job. In order to keep your level, or be promoted, here is what is required, weekly:

GA
All the requirements of level 1.

Hosting or co-hosting a game event.

Speak in your section’s #general chat on at least 5 separate days.

Spend 20 minutes recruiting new furries who play your game to our Discord.

Regularly check and take care of outstanding welcomes.

CM
All the requirements of level 1.

Ensuring you have a clearly defined role in your team.

Fulfilling that role to an acceptable level (for example hosting anime night, hosting a CAH table, working on a coding or design project).

Monitoring text and voice channels for misbehavior, raising it in #cm-discussion, and taking action if necessary.

Level 3
This level corresponds approximately to the current team lead position. In order to keep your level, or be promoted, here is what is required, monthly:

GA
All the requirements of level 2.

Overseeing the admins who are a lower level on your team: encouraging them and helping out with any questions or difficulties they may have. Assigning and making sure they fulfil their duties.

Speak in your section’s #general chat on at least 25 separate days.

Being vigilant for people in your section who are active and may be potential admin material.

Proactively making sure that events are recorded, either by yourself or by someone else.

Do at least one block of PMList per week.

Having at least one newbie in the buddy system, and actively helping them.

CM
All the requirements of level 2.

Overseeing the admins who are a lower level on your team: encouraging them and helping out with any questions or difficulties they may have. Assigning and making sure they fulfil their duties.

Monitoring #advice and #admin-feed-ques-sugg, and stepping in whenever you feel you have something of relevance to say.

Being vigilant for people overall who are active and may be potential admin material.

Being consciously aware and vigilant of current negative occurrences so that you are ready to handle things if they appear.

Do at least one block of PMList per week.

Having at least one newbie in the buddy system, and actively helping them.

Level 4
This level corresponds approximately to the SGA/SCM/Comms positions. In order to keep your level, or be promoted, here is what is required, monthly:

GA
All the requirements of level 3.

Proactive management of a section: forward-thinking ideas on how to improve things and move forward, what to change.

Spearheading initiatives such as new types of events, recruitment drives, and making sure that lower level admins in your section have the tools and advice they need to succeed.

Having a whole-community awareness and using it to your section’s advantage (for example creating server-wide announcements for appropriate big events such as an expansion release or new server release, proactively thinking of coding and design-related functionality then requesting it with properly defined requirements from those teams, getting sufficient promotion on social media from FV officially, and directly signal-boosting your section on social media, for example posting pictures from events you’ve run and/or attended with FV).

Where possible, attending the regular level 3+ meetings (Tues 6pm Eastern, Fri 8pm Eastern), and catching up with the provided notes where not possible.

CM
Directly overseeing the level 3 admin in any section whose highest admin is level 3, and helping them develop into a level 4 admin (the most important keys here are instilling confidence and proactivity).

Directly overseeing level 1 and 2 admins in any section whose highest admin is level 2 or below, including assigning duties and ensuring they fulfil them.

All the requirements of level 3 other than overseeing lower-levelled admins in teams that have an admin of level 3 or above.

Having the knowledge and capacity to step in as an equivalent to a level 1 admin for the majority of CM teams, in case of absence or vacation.

Being responsible for good public image and reputation. This can be either actively contributing to pro-FV defence and combating misinformation to ensure our reputation is well-maintained and that libel does not persist, persistently putting out pro-FV PR in the public eye, or both.

Where possible, attending the regular level 4+ meetings (Tues 6pm Eastern, Fri 8pm Eastern), and catching up with the provided notes where not possible.

Level 5
This level corresponds to somewhere between SGA/SCM/Comms and leader. There is a large skill gap in current level 4 admins and this should reflect that. This level is no longer split by GA or CM. In order to keep your level, or be promoted, here is what is required, monthly:

Proactively take charge of any leadership tasks that are not being handled by any other level.

Actively be coming up with new ways to develop FV across the spectrum, and how to improve existing things. Implementing changes that you have the ability to, after discussion with level 6 admins if required.

Develop and host workshops and training sessions to share your excellent skills with lower-levelled admins so that they may develop and become as great as you.

Host the weekly Sunday or level 4+ meetings if no level 6 admins can be present.

Directly checking with level 1 and level 2 admins to proactively encourage them and offer support on an ongoing basis.

Being ready to step up as leader of FV in case of crisis.

Level 6
This level is for the leaders of FV. Promotion to this level is case-by-case only, and is only possible in truly exceptional cases. If you are a strong level 5 admin and think you deserve level 6, you should directly approach the level 6 admins and present your case thoroughly.

As a level 6 admin, you are responsible, ultimately, for FV’s success or failure. It is a huge responsibility, with thousands of people looking up to and relying on you every single day, with a remarkable amount of pressure and work required. Though the duties are fairly similar, the psychological difference between having someone above you to go to and defer to in times of difficulty, and no longer having that is immense, take it from me. When I first became leader, that was perhaps the most tough thing.

Rock-solid mental toughness is an absolutely critical requirement (you absolutely will get hundreds of people decrying you and critiquing every single thing you do), and perhaps is the hardest thing to develop to transition from strong level 5 to level 6.

Introduction
This document’s purpose is to teach administrators of Furry Valley how to properly use the !pmlist command to assist in their success in hosting events.

For those of you who have been in FV for quite some time, you will no doubt be familiar with the preference system. The preference system allows members of a section to set preference values for any keywords they like, on a per-section basis. To refresh your memory on the preference system, or to learn how it works, please consult http://rebrand.ly/fvpreferencesetting before continuing.

The PM list system interfaces with the preference system in order to assure that, wherever possible, members of FV get invited primarily to events that they want to come to, and not to ones they do not wish to attend. Its purpose is to greatly increase efficiency from the admins’ perspective, and quality from the members’ perspective.

How to Use PM List
The PM List system is available in your #x-admin-general chat (if you’re a game admin), or in your #cm-x chat if you’re a community manager for a section that hosts events (e.g. speaking). If you have questions, tag @Comms Admin in your section’s chat for assistance.

Before you send any PMs, create and share with your fellow admins a template message such as the following:

“Hey NAME! Our event for X in Furry Valley begins in Y minutes! Please hop into the voice chat and join us now. :3”

The command is simply !pmlist, followed by some keywords, for example:

!pmlist raid pvm pve thursday evening horde (for World of Warcraft).

!pmlist saturday evening furry animated cute action (for Movie Night).

Here are some useful tips regarding the PM List system:

Use as many keywords as are relevant.

There is NO DRAWBACK in using a lot of keywords.

The more (relevant) keywords you use, the better the result quality.

Help your fellow section admins out with each other’s PM lists when it comes to hosting events.

You’ll be grateful you helped when the person you helped helps you in the future. Work as a team.

If your section admins don’t respond to @Section Admin to help with !pmlist, and you need help, then tag @Comms Admin. If there’s still no help, go into #admin-srsbsns and tag @Senior Community Manager.

Don’t message more than one block unless you have a very good reason to do so. This is for account security. If you need an alt account promoting to help with !pmlist, let me know.

Add your section members to your friends list as you go down the list. This will help slow down the lockout. Do this every time you !pmlist.

Example PM List Output
The PM List system outputs data such as the following:

There are a few things to note:

To claim a block, react to that block (above, we can see that the first block was reacted to with the lion face emoji, and the second by the wolf face emoji). This is how you claim a block as yours.

Blocks must be claimed in order.

One block per admin, other than when using an alt account.

Section admins must help out where possible with PM List, even if not hosting the event themselves.

The exact numbers themselves do not matter. The more keywords you choose, generally, the larger the numbers will be. This is fine. Only the order matters.

The better the preference data set by your section’s members, the better the output the PM List system will give you. This is why you must encourage your members to set their preferences (or set them for them, in cases where you have a fair estimate of what the values should be).

Future Enhancements
The PM List system will at some point be integrated with the current !lfg system. This will allow section members to directly poll for those interested in playing with them over a range of interests, allowing a split by region, day, time, and any number of other relevant keywords.

It's literally just me on alts. He promoted a fresh batch of admins the same day I posted that. I'm sure he can do the math. Unfortunately he also deleted the content of all the channels to give the new admins a "fresh start". It's so ridiculously easy to get in. Good luck finding out which one(s) I am, simba, because you're not getting any clues. And by the way breaking up the admins into sections isn't going to help you pin down who's leaking information. Nobody is leaking information to me, I'm leaking it to myself. However if any of the veteran admins would like to leak some of the juicy deleted content to me you may do so via Telegram (@Vaporeons). Nothing you send to me will be posted here without your permission, and anything that is will have any personally identifying material omitted. For example reactions on Discord screenshots will be crossed out, status bars will be cropped out, etc. I'll do all that on my end. Heaven's Gate doesn't seem like the correct cult aesthetic. Though it may have a more electronic look, the entire cult-like like structure as a whole has many more similarities to Rajneeshpuram than any other cult that I've seen or heard of.

-The leader takes a lot of money that doesn't go to anybody else in the server, actually coming from people within the server, same to how rajneesh would take money to buy a lavish lifestyle for himself.

This group protects the leader at all times and are sheilded from any form of punishment until they fall out of line.
-The way of life within both examples is extremely strict, and people or are taught to believe that working extremely long hours without compensation and not questioning it is a normal thing to do.
-Problematic people within the server and the cult are quarantined, and subsequently removed. This is more emblematic of every cult, however.
-People will occasionally go into the server to cause chaos, which the leaders use as propaganda to show that outsiders are much more aggressive than they actually are, same with the cult.

I was in the admin channels and was able to read back a bit, but managed to get my stupid ass banned before I could find anything really juicy/got the brainpower to think of archiving it.
There's actually 5 different admin channels for the 5 different levels of admin. (I'm guessing the interesting stuff is in the higher level channels)
