I imagine that the way he just described his dream is exactly how he talked to at his "galpals" back in the day.

They're eating or doing their homework at the lunch table, and Chris is there doing his best to put them to sleep by describing some boring shit nobody but Chris gives a shit about. All the while the girls treated it like the rest of the background noise in the cafeteria, with the occasional nod and "mm, yeah. That's nice Chris" thrown in.
