Well, for one, JMU, where Chris met Josh, is in Harrisonburg.KatsuKitty said:That's interesting. What's in Harrisonburg?

When Chris first started drawing Sonichu, he was essentially playing. He was pretending to be a successful comic artist, and being the child inside that he was, he was fully committed to the fantasy. He believed it, as when playing make-believe, he could be fully convinced of anything. His friends and family played along, this only served to reinforce his fantasy. He could even get away with only doing the "fun" parts of the job... he got to draw his favorite scenes, and await the mountains of cash and legions of babes, but he spent no time practicing his craft, publicizing his work, and interacted with his "fans" in only the most begrudging manner. Being a comic artist was playtime for him, and as such, Chris wanted to always do just the fun stuff.
The thing is, when Chris put it online, it left the realm of being "playtime" and shit got real. People expected him to act like a real comic artist. Real comic artists get better over time. They publicize their work. They seek out fans, because fans make them money. At some point, Chris got tired of the "game" and wanted to go back to being just Chris. He didn't want to play artist anymore, and he couldn't fathom why everyone else failed to understand that the game was over.
Now he's almost... ALMOST admitting that he wasn't ready to be a comic artist. What he's saying, or should be saying, is that things would have been better if he'd just kept his world to himself. That's actually pretty true.

So business as usual then?
Hmm, okay, let me rephrase there. Do not have any expectations of me, but still reward me as if you did and I exceeded them.Saito said:We never had expectations to begin with. :/CompyRex said:"Do not have any expectations of me"![]()
It's not.KatsuKitty said:Marvin said:Well, for one, JMU, where Chris met Josh, is in Harrisonburg.KatsuKitty said:That's interesting. What's in Harrisonburg?
The engineer inside of me speculates that Chris' iPhone AGPS is erroneously reporting a location nearby. I've once gotten Houston, TX while sitting inside a Scranton, PA classroom so it's hardly accurate. Unless he's said otherwise that he is physically up there, I'm thinking that his phone is just goofing up.
