Saw this referenced in a failed Proving Grounds thread on Hansen and then started following it myself: basically, Chris Hansen recorded a video message to "underground predators" stealing his footage and claiming he got copyright striked falsely. What he didn't tell anyone was that the "predators" were actually his own fanbase, and he neglected to mention that he has actually been taking videos wholesale off other people's channels.

What followed was a total rampage of destruction (and dodgy copyright strikes) across the entire TCAP YouTube community, with veteran channels like Joey's TCAP Channel and The Cappening Channel going dark, and the fanbase obviously being outraged. The channels started to creep back online (with lots of content removed), but nobody outside of the affected parties really knew what was going on - until Mista GG uploaded a video unboxing everything.

TL;DR

• Chris received a copyright strike from someone frustrated that he wouldn't sign her book & was frustrated that she'd paid an $85 subscription to his website for basically nothing (and he'd lifted one of her videos, but the strike was still dubious) - and then again by Cappening over a video they had put a lot of work into and he'd just lifted it (not so dubious).
• In response, he (or his friend/liability, Vincent) went on a rampage, falsely striking as much material to do with TCAP as possible - including investigation clips (owned by NBC); drawing livestreams; fair use videos (lists, parodies, etc.); chatlog readings; and (of course), simply critical videos.
• Vince (who's just some guy collaborating with Hansen who admits he doesn't understand YouTube) doxed the first striker from his own official YouTube account (possibly by accessing Hansen's website's subscriber database)!
• Vince wanted Mista GG to participate in an *actual fucking false flag attack* on his own channel to boost Hansen's ratings!
• Several channels have gone back up, so apparently Vince is thinking of trying the same shit again (or having a truce, who knows anymore).

On the one hand, it's a total lol fest that Hansen's putting so much effort into destroying his reputation and picking a fight with his own supporters using dubious stuff that'll bite him in the ass before long. And on the other, it's a bit sad to see Hansen, who many people liked, somehow continuing to fall even further than he has with not shipping Kickstarter rewards; getting arrested; and now having an autistic slap fight over copyright strikes and then abusing the system some more to silence any criticism. A reputation that was built across 12 years (mostly in his own absence) is now being destroyed in about a week (and counting).

Chris is a fucking boomer boomer when it comes to YT. So, he hired incompetent people to help. He literally uploaded a stream in 144p.........in 2019. It was like watching an abstract water painting that got washed out in the rain; it was truly pathetic.

One of the funniest things about TCAP was the decoys and the voiceovers of the text/email messages. Also considering he got arrested before, I'm surprised his cell mate Bubba never told him to have a seat on the bed...face down ass up.

Update on this situation, Chris used to have a guy named Vincent Nicotra of New Jersey who handled all his online media crap:

I’m not completely keyed in to exactly what went down but it’s probably mentioned in the Onision drama thread. Something about doxxing people who were critical of Onision from his personal twitter and calling into another YouTuber’s livestream wasted and saying a bunch of other offensive shit. Again don’t quote me here because I’ve heard it all secondhand and haven’t seen any of the content myself.

Flash forward to this week and it turns out Vincent retained control of the Hansen vs. Predators Facebook page, is going off, and is allegedly selling the domain for Chris’ YouTube show:

I don’t know anything about Vincent outside this drama but going off on the posts he’s made on the Facebook page he’s an edgy 30-something year old Trump-loving conservative who has control of Chris Hansen’s business page and this is the best he could do:

I personally think the dude sounds like a bigger lolcow than Chris. Has a nice job, fucks it up by getting drunk and being edgy on the internet and just to make sure he never finds work again of that caliber he boomerposts all over the business page and tries to sell the domain that probably isn’t worth shit to begin with.

One last interesting note, going to http://hansenvspredators.com now redirects you to http://fnesqlaw.com, a law firm with the same last name Vincent has.

Maybe there’s an internet lawfag in the audience who can break down how legal/illegal this all is because I’m genuinely interested if this guy is fucking himself over because he’s butthurt about getting fired.
