This is not a thread about his overall health or eating habits, I want to make that clear before I go on. This is about Chris' heart.

Recently there is a discussion in another thread about what is your favorite Chris video. AtroposHeart and me were just talking about that, and she said she thinks her favorite is the one where Chris goes to take a hike/walk on a trail and he gets winded after only ten minutes. I had nearly forgotten about that video.

Recently I read an article about 7 warning signs of heart issues. One of them was getting winded too easily. It's one thing to be winded after a run or a good-sized jog, but if you're winded from going up one flight of stairs, or simply walking along a flat or slightly inclined surface, this most likely means you're not getting the oxygen you need because your heart is not getting what it needs (read: blocked artery) and thus has to work harder to compensate for that. Given how quickly Chris becomes winded after a simple walk, AtroposHeart and I both believe that Chris has at least one clogged artery. Not really surprising, but it's still sad that at such a young age his heart is in such bad shape.

This also makes me wonder about his trips to the grocery store or Mal-Wart or whatever, and if he also gets so winded after a shopping trip, because pushing a cart around on top of walking would be really hard on his heart.

As many of you know I am overweight, actually morbidly obese according to BMI(But I have issues with BMI as a scale for health) However, nearly every morning I walk for an hour on flat land without taking breaks(Except getting water or using the restroom) or getting out of breath, in fact I usually feel better after my walk. I also go swimming at least once a week and do about two hours of laps and don't get winded.

Chris is overweight, but it is possible to be relatively healthy at a larger size, but of course that usually means that overweight person has taken steps to improve their health while Chris shows no evidence of taking any.

He has no heart :alog:

But yeah, his heart is totally on a bad shape. He was prescribed Lipitor, that's a medication for people with cardiovascular problems, right? Especially on his 20s. That should speak how well his health is going.

As I understand, Lipitor is for cholesterol, not heart issues. But yeah, bad cholesterol can (and usually will) impact heart health. With his diet and inactivity, I'm almost surprised his heart isn't just one huge nugget of hardened cholesterol/lard.

Well, since he only eats healthy McWraps now the problem should solve itself. Right?

Assuming his house is dusty, stuffy, and filled with fumes from pet urine and feces, I'm willing to bet his lungs aren't too hot either.

Oh, I completely forgot about the Hoard and the health effects it has. Yeah, his lungs must not be too hot, but living in such filth can also be a strain on the heart. Heck, when he goes to McD's or whatever I'm sure his lungs are happy for the fresh air.

Give me one thing about Chris that is healthy.

Depends on what you mean by healthy. If you mean good/beneficial for you, I can't think of anything. If you mean robust, I'd say his ego/sense of entitlement.

Back to his heart... if his heart is this bad I would wager he has not been to his doctor in a few years at least. Every time I go for a checkup, my doctor listens to my heart and lungs, listening to multiple spots on both my front and back. I know this will not catch every issue that a heart can have, but I always get the clear because my arteries sound like they're pumping correctly and so on. I don't get winded from basic exercise, I can walk briskly for half a hour to a hour and not need to catch my breath. So I wonder what a doctor would hear if he were to give Chris the same chest to back exam that I get.

When you've got a weak heart, don't doctors recommend that you avoid sexual activity until it gets better?

That alone would cause Chris to ignore a doctor, even if he had no other inclination to do so.

Assuming that he has one clogged artery like you said, that would mean he may die from an embolism should the plague break off. I could ask if there's something for him to reverse that but I'm not so sure. I'm not even sure if garlic (I love that vegetable like crazy) could help since that may not be enough. His "stress" and high blood pressure may from his health and not from the trolls or the CWCki. When he starts to feel chest pains, its his heart working itself to death to compensate but he may blame us as trolls for stressing his heart out just because this CWCki exists.

Perhaps, you or the others should make a thread about his lungs. Cat urine from what I heard can burn the lungs when there's too much cat piss vapor in the air combined with the hoard. Makes you wonder how does Chris and Barb survive through their mess like that.

why not just one general health thread? only because if you look at the red box above the forums, you might notice this: "Limit discussion of body parts and functions."

My uncle has had heart issues over the last few years. I hate to say it but it's his fault. He wasn't as unhealthy as Chris, no, but he had a desk-type job, and didn't have the best eating habits. He needed several procedures and what not done over the last few years. Doctors do tell you to avoid strenuous exercise, especially after recovering from heart surgery, but they do recommend light exercise like walking, to keep your blood pumping. My uncle lost weight and has improved his diet, he looks and feels much better now, but with his age, damage has already been done. Some of it was undone, but with his age, he will have to remain conscious of his heart for the rest of his life.

I would wager that Chris' heart is even worse than my uncle's was at its worst. I don't want to go into details about what my uncle's heart was doing and all it's issues because that would be tl;dr, but even if Chris got a bypass surgery and all that, it's safe to say that some of the damage done to his heart can not be undone.

And what happened, then? Well, in Cwcville they say - that Chris-chan's small heart grew three sizes that day. And then - the true meaning of Christmas came through, and Chris-chan found the strength of *ten* autists, plus two!

I agree with this rule, but I think it was more for stopping weenkids from making threads about Chris' bent duck or :briefs: We're just having a legitimate discussion about Chris' heart, and heart health in general, I think we can all learn from this thread. I do my best to not make junk threads, and I honestly felt that this was a worthwhile topic to discuss in itself because the heart is a serious matter.
