I propose the humble goldfish: an unintelligent yet trainable creature with a 5-second memory span that swims around in its own feces, is excruciatingly dull to interact with, does none of the fun or useful tricks that other household pets perform, quickly dirties any environment it is placed in, and will happily gorge itself to death if presented with enough McDonald's fish food.

A panda, its natures most useless animal, it eats bamboo (macdonalds and ice tea and shit) when its more suited to eating meat, it offers nothing to nature in anyway yet its being protected by the government (monthly tugboat)

The sloth.

Barely moves or does anything, and is so inactive it actually has moss, plant matter and bacteria growing on it (making it sometimes toxic to touch). It's main food source gives very little nutrition and is hard to digest. Has approx 50% less muscle tissue than mammals of equivalent size. Can be almost invisible due to inactivity and is mostly ignored by other species.

That said, it is completely harmless and no threat to anybody.

I'd like to debunk the myth that goldfish have 5 second memories. In time all goldfish come to recognize their caretakers and enjoy their visits, they also know exactly what time they're fed if you keep it at a constant time everyday.

Yes, that is the common feeder goldfish they sell at pet stores for a couple cents.

Everything else you wrote is accurate though, they are literally some of the dirtiest fish around due to the domestication process.

They're the product of faulty genes and damage during the egg stage (the eggs are tumbled before they hatch)
And people give them ridiculous tattoos like a cutie mark

They also have deformed spines, cannot close their mouths completely and have abnormal swim bladders making them swim funny.
