Are Chris' most noted exploits (Attraction Sign/Love Quest, poorly drawn webcomic, wars with trolls, the "autism card" etc) really that one-of-a-kind? Because before I heard about Chris I never heard of such things.

Eh, I guess what sets Chris apart is his stupidity and gullibility. Other spergs might've gotten coerced into one CWC-like saga, not four or five like Chris has.Seahorses said:I don't know. I feel their are plenty of weirdos (if you look through a place like ED) that seem to have the asperbergers or something, and like to dick around with Sonic recolors. Most of them are totally into video games too. Most of them aren't as naive as CWC. Also, most of the time they make up their mental illness for attention. Chris might've been normal at one point, but was cuddled into autism.
Agreed, it's the sheer improbability of all of these factors consecutively failing to prevent a Christian Weston Chandler that makes him fascinating/disturbing. However, I suspect such failure isn't entirely unique. What makes it his case stand out, is the unprecedented publicity of it all. A perfect storm of failure occurred, and it conveniently happened where all the world could witness it.Henry Bemis said:What makes Chris particularly unique/infuriating is that he's managed to slip through so many cracks and flaws in our social/economic/political systems. He's managed to twist everything that would've benefited him into an insensate evil (such as Greene County's insistence on special education); soak up money for a relatively minor ailment with impunity; take advantage of our reluctance to lay it on the mentally handicapped; et cetera et cetera.
