Why is Christian convinced that all other 'special' people are moaning, drooling "windows to hell"? Does he honestly believe he's the only person High Functioning Aspertism or whatever and that everyone else is some kind of subhuman mutant? Is it because of his ego? I mean there are many nearly neurotypical Autistics out there. I work with one. It blew me away when he told me because he seems like anyone else. He doesn't have weird speech patterns or weird behavior. Just a really cool guy, real chill.

It boils down to utter lack of human contact. All he knows is 14 BLC, Manchester High, and PVCC. Yeah, his ego (and coddling by his parents) play a role in that, but he hasn't really encountered any other people with da 'tism, leading him to believe he's an even more special snowflake than he was raised to believe. The most telling all is his belief that he "cultivated the First Generation of Autistic people."

When you're as insecure and full of yourself as Chris is, it's pretty convenient to have a group of people that you can point to and categorically claim total superiority over. Maybe it's just the experience of the one facility I "volunteered" at, but people diagnosed on the low-high end or high-middle of autistic spectrum did not get along very well together. They frequently clashed, because their particularities or routines clashed. Ever see a fist fight break out because three individuals all insisted that their favorite color is red, and the others couldn't like red. I have. Three times. Twice in he same hour. So, incompatibility - even resentment - between special needs individuals may not be unique to Chris.

As well, we can't assume all "retards" are safe to put together, or that they all love to hug and sing Elmo. A lot of these individuals were convicted of repeated offenses, including a few violent ones including unwanted sexual advance, and often a few steps away from being put in prison.

Even considering the possibility it's not unique to Chris, it still doesn't make me think any better of Chris. Living the way he does, he really shouldn't be looking down or denigrating anyone, 'till he fixes his own shit - figuratively and literally.

When I was a teenager, I worked for a pottery business, teaching kids how to work with clay. Sometimes, we worked with tards. And it's funny, because the tard parents were just as obnoxious as regular parents, arguing with us, telling us the lesson plan was going to slow for their brilliant tard children, and bragging to other parents about how damn smart their tard baby was.

I was gonna tie this into Chris' upbringing as an explanation for his views on other tards, but then I got lazy and decided to go on the IMDB Breaking Bad page.

There are plenty of individuals who are just as autistic as Chris, the difference is that these others quickly acknowledge that their condition isn't an insurmountable barrier to contributing to society and learn to accept what their autism means and how they should go about learning to overcome it so they can lead a normal life.

In Chris' case, he seems to be convinced that he's been afflicted with a severely limiting condition and has overcome it through sheer magnificence, it's almost as if he believes he's earned or worked towards the title of "high functioning" and that he's done all the work he needs to do.
