During the time period covered by the emails in this thread, Chris still wanted to reconnect with his gal pals, despite his becoming aware that they were nothing more than "hired help" and despite the nasty emails that passed between him and them. (I don't know for certain if he still feels this way, but it's likely that he still does.)

On some of these emails, I haven't bothered to censor out the names of the gal pals, because it seems pointless: everyone knows who they are, it's all well-documented (so I'm not being sloppy, careless, or inconsiderate here).

I'll post more material once I locate it (and edit appropriately).

The first email is pretty self-explanatory (and I believe that I've posted it before). I've included it here to provide context.

The second email, from "Sarah" is more terse and uncivil because Sarah played the role of the "bad cop", she said the things that Rebeckah couldn't / wouldn't say. In order to keep Rebeckah as a viable line of communication with Chris, I had to keep her somewhat neutral. This is the primary reason why the gal pals were cast in the role of "villains

It's unsurprising that Chris can't let go but it's a little creepy how Chris actually expects that his former "friends" should basically drop their personal lives and return back "in line" just because he needs people to asspat him and that he is in some kind of a position to give them a "stern talking-to".

It's like the forces that are his true recognition that he has nobody in his life other than his fatass mom and his rather incredible ego having not shown the tiniest degree of having shrunk in the past decade+ of life kicking his ass time and time again for it, are coliding head on in the form of twin autistic Falcon Punches.

Chris probably is on the cusp of self-awareness about his solitude, but his ego dictates that any concept of changing from who he's been for the past three decades of his life must not be sacrificed. Thus, even with the truth, he is the most entitled fuck on this planet.

It's like Chris is still stuck in living in the year 2000. Despite all the stuff that has happened since then and more, he still can't move on from the past and move forward with his life. He's very attached to these very distant memories to the point of obsession.

So he was already told they were paid to hang out with him and he still wants to reconnect with them and be "friends" again? This is just so sad it's not even funny anymore. *sigh*

The underlying theme of this effort was that Chris needs to let go of the past and get out and socialize more. I tried to point out to Chris (albeit not very nicely) that his obsession with his idealized version of his high school years was wasting time that could be better spent on getting out and meeting new people (ideally, making new friends).

This is tragic. While Chris is really not a very good person, I can't help but feel very sad for him and the whole situation. We're talking about a 30-something man-child who went through his entire life without ever once having a friend. I wish I could just look away now, but the train wreck that is Chris's life is far too compelling to watch, no matter how hard it will be to scrape my mind off it. The fact that his father actually paid people to hang out with him is something so bizarre. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so pathetic. Truth is certainly stranger than fiction.

I would feel sympathetic too if it wasn't for the fact that when he thought he had a genuine friend who was looking out for him and that friend mentioned gently that he might need psychiatric help to make his life better, his response was "I hope you and your boyfriend die in a house fire."

I agree with you. I honestly believed (and still believe) that Chris unnatural attachment to the past was (and still is) hurting him.

Chris ***is*** capable of making friends (although he's not that good at keeping them). He established a friendship with The Wallflower well before the trolls became aware of her existence.

When I started this little "experiment" I believed that Chris attachment to his high school glory days would do him more lasting harm, over time, than just getting him to face up to the truth (kinda like pulling a band aid off quickly).

Actually, Chris did have friends: Megan and The Wallflower.

If he hadn't pushed his boundaries with these women, they could still be friends.

The email correspondence between him and these two women is very telling. For Megan, "She Came for CWC" was the last straw (and who could blame her?). I'd imagine that it would be very uncomfortable being around someone that harbors secret rape fantasies about you.

With The Wallflower, if Chris had simply respected her request for a little more personal space and backed off, they could still be friends. The two of them were very much alike in some ways, and it could have worked (or at least lasted longer than it did).

I kind of feel like, even if Chris hadn't made her identity known to the trolls, that eventually The Wallflower would have tired of Chris asking her to be his girlfriend for the 1,000th time and would have told him to piss off.

Oh, absolutely. The evidence for this is in the email correspondence between two of them. Chris was constantly calling and emailing her, and trying to invite himself over to "hang out". The trolls just hastened what was inevitable.
