Money Chris's Etsy shop is possibly closed (updated 6/8) - It's closed again

6/8: The shop is closed again.

5/7 update: ghostyTrickster posted that the shop is back online.

However, the Google Cache of his profile shows the CwcvilleShopping icon under his name, which is missing from the current profile:

A few days ago, his donations listing was removed. It seems that his entire shop is closed now.

Chris started Sonichu Entertainment of America (SEA) a few weeks ago, he will own his own shop, he doesnt need Etsy now, so this is a logical business decision.

I agree, treat him like any other entity that doesn't deliver a product.

That said, I can't help but feel that anybody giving Chris money in exchange for something really should have known what they were getting into.
Do we have any idea as to how many people are due items from him?

It's strange that Chris closes the shop so suddenly. Yes the sale dried up, but he still got some donations here and there. Is he planning to only rely on Zazzle and e-begging videos from now on?

He'll probably open the shop again though, once he realises he can't accept donations via Zazzle.

I honestly can't see him willingly shutting down his Etsy and here's why. Chris has been relying on donations and money on Etsy for the longest of times. I mean last month, when Chris' tugboat wasn't enough to cover his costs he was able to make an impassioned plea on Youtube that give him a 200 dollar cash injection that he used to pay off those costs.

I just can't see him closing everything down to avoid refunding a few people. If that was what was bothering him he'd just have begged for more donations then used that money to fulfil his refund obligations. Etsy was a big source of income for Chris, he loved having the money but didn't love having to actually put some work in to reward the people who gave him their money.

I think his donations listing being taken down was caused by a few weens who finally decided to report the donation button which we all know is against Etsy TOS. While closing that it probably made Etsy put a magnifying glass to the rest of the shop, and the over reliance on products that infringe intellectual property along with constant complaints from customers probably led to a shut down.

Perhaps enough people raised complaints over not getting their items?

Looking online, people do complain that Etsy closes stores without a clear explanation why. But Etsy also claim that they issue warnings.

It is strange timing with his Donation option vanishing so soon before though. That definitely was in violation of their policies. Maybe someone at Etsy looked into that and then found other problems with his account.

Edit: This would also mean that people with outstanding orders will have to contact Chris directly, or file a complaint with Paypal. I think he had made a few sales recently, like some comics and a Sonichu Amiibo. Good luck to those customers on seeing anything from that.

It was never so extreme to begin with and got worse with the Amiibos.
