Chris's fixation with Doopie may be his most depressing/perplexing -

As we now know, Chris pays Doopie 25 dollars on Patreon a month, frequently tweets her, and just had her make him a profile picture.

Doopie herself handles the situation as professionally and as neutral as she can, as Chris is strictly a customer to her, and she treats him with the same benevolence as any popular artist would towards their more strange fans.

The weird thing is Doopie isn't even really that prolific an artist nor does she create anything unique or have any specialized style to her work. She hardly uploads to youtube and her Patreon money is supplemental even in the best of cases. In the past Chris has fawned over prolific voice actresses who did work on his favorite franchises, women over the internet because they actively talked to him, and his own creations because, ya know, its Chris.

I guess the point is... Why Doopie of all people? What drew him to someone so obscure and bland? And why did she become his end all be all? Even as a personality she's about as bland as her art. Never-mind he is a near 40 year old man leaning on an early 20-something on twitter for validation. I honestly feel a little sorry for her, but even for Chris this obsession is a little perplexing to wrap my head around. Is he really that lonely at this point?

It wouldn't if it was a passing thing. She has become something that legit gets him out of the bed....ish, and it has been going on for over a year at this point. I would also say she barely qualifies Chris's extremely unrealistic standards.

Chris, being the mindless consumer he is, probably stumbled on PD naturally on Youtube, and latched onto the show's waifu. Not too much of a stretch.

Also, the fact that she's depicted as an anime cat thing and a kawaii schoolgirl in all her profiles probably helped her catch the manchild's eye

That would make sense since Chris is/was a huge watcher of Watchmojo.com and Planet Dolan probably came up in the related videos and then he possibly looked into Doopie's own channel from there. Admittedly Doopie's channel "mascot" is weirdly attractive in a crude amateur way that Chris probably likes, but holy hell is the majority of her work lazy and inconsistent... wait... I'm starting to see the consistency here...

It does fit and probably he sees a bit of him on what she's doing. Both are art-oriented people, both like anime-ish vidoeogamy stuff and both have a Patreon. In any case, the girl is your standard animator/illustrator wannabe and he is a creepy asspie. I kinda feel sorry for her.

I can't peg her as trolling Chris, though she ought to be made aware that this man is a complete lunatic. If not for the safety of her physical, psychological and social life then her reputation and credibility as a voice actress. I keep wondering if she knows of this or if she is woefully unaware, it reminds me of the odds of you passing that .75% to 1% of the population that is in reality a psychopath in the street and not even knowing it. Most dangerous place to be if you ask me.
