Some(all) people were talking about Chris's weird as fuck way of holding pens.

So basically I tried to figure out how he holds that thing for so long and yesterday I figured it out but didn't draw like that.
BUT TODAY I DID

So I did what Chris does and never made a basic sketch or any guidelines beforehand. I started with the mouth and as you can see I struggled to steady the tablet pen as my hands are already shaky. Later on you'll see I had reverted back to my normal style of quick strokes.

Should I do another one of these? How do you even get the idea that you should hold a pen in such a way, didn't he watch other children hold pencils and thought that he was holding it wrong.

I've been tempted to try drawing the way he does with the weird hand grip and all. I might do that after class just for the heck of it.

I'm wondering if no-one actually taught him the proper why of holding a writing utensil, like he just taught himself and no-one bothered to correct him.

Those must have been some shitty teachers because at 5-6 years of age children develop mature pen grip and a special ed teacher (which in Chris's yearbook his teachers were listed as special ed) should have noticed that right away.
And even your average person would notice it and say "Dude, doesn't it hurt to write like that?"

Admittedly, the way I hold pens is pretty irregular (I have no idea why, I guess nobody really noticed back in my early years) yet Chris's way of holding them is still painful for me.

I think the major issue with Chris's pen grip is that he's gonna cramp up so bad that he can't continue in like 10 minutes. As I said, it's also ridiculously hard to stabilize the pen as I attempted to draw as Chris does with one slow stroke without taking his pen off the paper. This very well may contribute to his shitty art.

I tried to draw with that grip before I was on the forums. My hand cramped.

although it is a much better effort than chris could ever do, i wouldn't want you to risk permanent injury.

Can I permanently damage my hand drawing like that? I'll have to read more into that and get back to you guys.
Either way I figure doing quick 1 minute sketches like this should be safe.

How do Chris' MANOS not shake like yours did?
I already have very shaky hands because of my bad nerves and we can also factor in that Chris has probably been drawing and writing like this for most of his life so he may have an easier time holding the pen steady.

I hold my pen in a really funny grip. The top of the pen is angled away from me as I write. I figure I learned it this way because I'm left-handed, so if the pen's top were toward my body, I couldn't see what I'm writing as I'm writing it. A lot of people tell me it's really weird, though. I guess your hand can get used to any weird pen grip if that's what you've always known.

He's still gotta cramp up pretty hard while he's drawing or writing even if he can get the pen stable.

Chris probably holds his pen that way because, like most autistic people, he had underdeveloped small muscles when he was growing up. Autistic children are given muscle exercises and, after a few years, their development usually catches up. Chris-Chan however, because he had paranoid rednecks for parents, spent his childhood in a room full of toys, and thus never got the therapy he needed. So he still uses his index finger for extra stability when he draws his shitty recolor comics. And, yeah, probably his hand cramps up pretty quickly.
