Most of the time it's reported as PCP or bathsalts it turns out not to be. Those drugs just have such an unwarranted reputation that anytime somebody does something crazy on drugs, people immediately blame them. Most of the time it's like, mental illness and maybe some weed and alcohol. The Florida guy who ate some homeless guys face 'on bathsalts' was mental illness and marijuana. The guy who plucked out son's own eyes and ate them 'on PCP' turned out to be mental illness and discontinued his prescribed medication. No PCP involved. 99% of crazy bathsalts and PCP incidents had no bathsalts or PCP involved, but the media immediately says 'SOUNDS LIKE PCP' and then the next media outlet cites that and reports 'CONFIRMED IT'S PCP'. The other 1% were completely insane people with histories of mental illness and violence, who just happened to be on PCP.
