I was milling over my experiences with Nemu again, trying to put together more things to post in here (i.e. not just Tumblr grade "this person was really weird and mean umu" crap), when I realized something that's had a lasting effect: a term Nemu made up, "fictional others". People still use it in little corners of Tumblr.

Is this true? I remember said term being used circa 2013-2014, was it really made up by her or she just spread it? I'm quite surprised.

Oh no, I meant Nemu there. It was Belcha the barrel in particular, but I do recall plenty of people helping her come up with fantasies for it. That had to be early 2016.

I definitely think she got it from someone else, and then popularized it through her own use. In the days following up to her unveiling the term, she was asking each of us if we had any catchy ideas. (My suggestion was some stupid shortening of "boyfriend", as "boif/boyf", which sounds uncomfortably like "boof" now.)

I definitely remember myself and my friend using "fictional significant other" before we found and followed her. I have no idea where we got it from, but it was definitely not from her. I guess it's highly likely that she just heard it somewhere and decided to use it as if it was hers.

Just came across this thread and the name rang a bell. She used to post her cosplay pics a lot on CGL. I remember them being pretty good. I think this is Bleach? I don't know because I usually just watch slice of life stuff.

She sounded nice enough in the beginning. But I remember it did get very very weird with the art and the puke talk. But I bailed on CGL after they outlawed all the dramu. It was just boring without it. I can't remember if she had a Maxfag thread. That seems like a thousand years ago now.

I just remember her talking about her boyfriend's costume and how they used a zentai suit instead of makeup and used plastic cups for... Cup things on his face. I don't know the characters. I think they had some freaky dynamic or something and were her OTP.

Now, see, the moment "puke and Pikmin porn" becomes a factor, "normal" goes completely out the window. I don't blame anyone for falling for it, though; Nemu got her following from attracting all the lonely weirdos of Tumblr/Twitter and gave them a sense of belonging. That's also how we wind up with loons fighting tooth and nail for her (i.e. the incident depictied earlier in this thread, where someone threatened a 14-year-old with gore photos if they dare harassed Mama Nemu one more time.)

It was very, very legitimate. In the group chat, she would give us little glimpses into her musings, and there was at least a sincerity to her hyperfixations. There was one time where :powerlevel: for a laugh, I read some hippie website about having sex with ghosts, and when Nemu heard about this, she privately asked me about the logistics of ghost-fucking because she had a fantasy about getting it on with Lord Farquaad in his ghost form. It was a very candid moment, and she was very earnest the whole time, too, so it cemented the whole "this woman is for real" thing in my mind.

There were also times where she would make little comments in the tags of Tumblr reblogs, one good example being whenever she reblogged decaying buildings she found sexy. There are quite a few "aesthetic" Tumblrs that post abandoned, weather-worn buildings and rooms, and Nemu would reblog them with tags like "whooh..." or "ooh baby". I guess a decaying building, in her logic, could be compared to a partly-nude human being. I initially thought she just liked the aesthetic of urban decay, until a week or so later I found out she'd masturbated to a picture of an abandoned mall. Basically, the Chernobyl thing is also very, very real.

Oh yeah, I remember the Jojo thing; she definitely did say that. And I don't think the cute vs. sexy thing was ever discussed publicly, but it would make a lot of sense...she's into a lot of characters who are very cutesy or simply-drawn, and plus there was the minion-fucking in the past, so maybe there's that overlap in her head.

Side note: When Nemu first mentioned watching JJBA, I remember a bunch of her fans started scrambling to find a character in the series she'd like...usually she'd only get into a series if she could find an anchoring "fucky" character, and since JJBA was particularly popular on Tumblr (I'm talking the kinnie, headcanon-making, drawing characters fat and different skin colors crowd), these kids wanted to pull her in too. She very nearly got into Funny Valentine, but after finding out he later becomes skinny and buff, I think she dropped the series not too long after.

Yes, and it's probably due to her fetish over dirty stuff. Chris being the type of guy who would step over shit and piss to get another can of Fanta turned her on for sure and considering how non existent both their personal hygienes are, this was a match made in heaven.

Bonus: When Inside Out first came to theatres, Nemu spent a bit of time deliberating over whether or not she'd fuck Bing Bong. I was one of those people who followed Nemu for the trainwreck and then got sucked in by her fake lovable personality.

The thing that made me start to doubt her honesty was a post about how she told her supervisor at her fast food job she was late to work because she was drawing porn of herself 69ing that safe-head monster from The Evil Within, and according to her, her supervisor thought it was fucking awesome and wanted to see the porn and didn't punish her. Nemu didn't tell us too much about what she liked about Arin, but no joke, I think the fact that he has so many chins was a major component.

Nemu also had the brief Willy Wonka phase, specifically with the Gene Wilder version. Something nobody else has noted was how the Wonka phase was really tame by Nemu standards, and it was really a breath of fresh air...her wildest fantasy was to be her snakesona and just jack him off. I can't believe this is the most normal thing I saw her do. During this phase, she hosted a stream, and played someone's AMV made with clips of Gene Wilder and the sheep from "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex". Jesus fuck, this resurfaced tonight when I was talking with friends about horror movies: Nemu once remarked that she saw part of The Human Centipede 2, and thought the creepy little guy played by Laurence R. Harvey was attractive. It was a passing fancy, and she lost interest in him a days later. I think that was around the same time when she started to deteriorate psychologically, and was beating it to nastier and nastier shit; maybe something about his proclivities resonated with her.

I wish I had screenshot proof of her saying this, god. It was for sure late 2015 after she'd fled to Twitter.

She claimed she only got in trouble because there was another illustrator working for the newspaper who was jealous of her. The other illustrator apparently found something she wrote online of her confessing to sneak Pauly into the newspaper and told on her.
