I agree with the treaties & weapons testing part but Iron Dome is a short-to-medium range air defense module, not a long-range or theatre-defense module. Its basically made to stop rockets, mortars, and short-range/tactical ballistic missiles - maybe, maybe a medium range ballistic missile.Well no shit. We sort of have treaties that prevent us from using these kind of systems but we want to have them ourselves. Why not just let Israel do these experiments for us? We have nothing to do with them right? I mean shit like the ABM treaty is expired but actual treaties don't mean shit between countries like the U.S. and Russia.
So we get to experiment with shit like Iron Dome at the expense of two other parties, one of which is our ally, and the other of which isn't even a country.
If you don't think nuclear war with the chinks or Russia is still possible, well. . .
It's not meant to stop intermediate, long-range, or intercontinental missiles.
But your logic does somewhat apply to Arrow-3, which is the Israeli equivalent of RIM-161, THAAD or GBI.
