However using the same guitar rifts like dream his producer did is not going to look favorably to a court. To my ear: it is the same notes, same instrument, same tempo. Pink Floyd won, but settled out of court. Basically though, in this case Dream is screwed if the copyright holders decide to take action. They don’t always do though for some reason, so I wouldn’t be too hopeful yet.

I don't understand what it is with minecraft youtubers who have previously never shown any kind of interest in music just deciding to release these incredibly generic songs out of no where. Maybe ad revenue's gotten lower. Though badboyhalo does seem to have a tendency to follow in dream's footsteps (when dream made a shorts channel, bbh made one shortly after. I've seen him in videos with ex-SMPLive members (Jmakattack, Grunk, Jawsh, Altrive), who in turn know DreamSMP members. My memory is hazy but I think I've also seen some stans get mad at him in the past, small world. Surprised no one's started a storm over this, maybe they think it's a joke.

Y'know, the original image he posted on Twitter was a screenshot from Discord where someone else posted the image with the "This is dream" caption (unless BigToadCharmer is him) so he may not actually know, and just thought it was a shitpost (hence the emojis on the tweet), which is funny because he thinks there's no way Dream could be that ugly.

Also that tweet is from April 7, and since I don't spy a role on BigToadCharmer's Discord name, my guess would be this is in DMs, so it's entirely possible this image has been floating around the circles of actual YouTubers and/or streamers for a while now (but then again, Softwilly is one of the smaller creators according to @why am I fucking here , so maybe this is an isolated incident - interesting to consider though).
