That said, these issues REALLY started flaring up in MCYT after Game Grumps begged their fans to stop making porn/smut of them, so it begs the question of how many of the fans doing this came from the Polygrumps community?

To that end, I do feel bad for these creators. Clay's still young and dumb, but he's already experienced how creepy these people can be.

What's even funnier is that YouTube's "Culture and Arts" channel or whatever the fuck its called made a video talking about how the Dream SMP is an "epic for the modern era". Maybe it's just me, but I think Youtube is trying too hard to relate to younger kids. What baffles me more though, is that they somehow refer to a shitty cliche-ass Minecraft story as a fucking "epic". Wilbur's ego over "writing" a "story" filled with plotholes, and having no concrete direction whatosever was already big enough, but YouTube just decided to fucking quadruple it. The story feels like it's written by a fucking second grader, because of how the "villain" has no direction whatsoever. It's like a 2nd grader decided to make a story and take inspiration from all the movies and plays they saw in the last week with how it jumps from Hamilton to a documentary on South American dictators then to fucking Greek fables within a single storyline.

As someone who watched the original Yogscast stuff without knowing about Shadow of Israphel, it was an unforgettable experience when Israephel first showed up to their seemingly normal survival Minecraft game. So much creativity in that series. I wish when these series died, the creators would at least say what the general plan was so fans can have some closure.

They did show some behind the scenes in a livestream and I'm sure it's on youtube. I can't look right now but if I find it later I'll link it. They shared an old animation for I think some epic battle they were supposed to have and then covered the core plot points they had at the time before their server got wrecked.
That entire series is an example of improv and scripting working well together, especially for something oriented towards kids, all while not even pretending it wasn't scripted.

Looking at Dream's twitter account, he follows hundreds of people, a litany of which all seem to be random small stan accounts. I doubt he's ignorant of the idea his underaged fans have alternative accounts where they pots obscene and vile things no child should even be able to think of - but at the same time, I also doubt he's intimately aware of the specific alternative accounts of whichever random stans he followed back for whatever reason. I could dig up any random moderately well-known-in-some-nerd-culture person's twitter where they follow back fans and find people that are being followed by said person with likely very reprehensible accounts.

This feels like a non-issue and barely pertains to Dream beyond who this child's a fan of. I'm not gonna play backseat janny, but I really have to ask who gives a fuck what some autistic child fantasizes about with Dream beyond basic ridicule unless he decides to indulge in their fantasies? There's a completely separate thread specifically for mocking his and various other Minecraft streamers' fangirls who aren't directly involved in Dream's shit.
