Actress Stacey Dash has been arrested for alleged domestic violence in Florida.
The Clueless star was taken into custody Sunday by the Pasco Sheriff's Office after she allegedly pushed and slapped a man during an argument, NBC News reports. According to an affidavit, the "victim sustained red scratch marks to his left upper arm from being pushed," reports Entertainment Tonight.
TMZ reports the man involved was Dash's husband, Jeffrey Marty, whom she married in 2018. A source claimed to TMZ that Dash acted in self-defense, with the outlet reporting that she "is the one who called 911, and she was arrested because she didn't have any marks on her but her husband did." Dash was released Monday morning after posting bail, CNN reports.
In addition to her acting roles, Dash is also known in recent years for serving as a Fox News contributor. She sparked controversy numerous times while at the network, including when she said in 2016 there "shouldn't be a Black History Month." Fox in 2017 decided not to renew her contract. Brendan Morrow

She got suspended from Fox in December of 2015 for saying "shit" on the air, but I don't remember her being on much after that.

Stacey Dash Silenced (Briefly)

Fox News contributor and working actress Stacey Dash has been suspended from the network for two weeks after saying on-air that President Barack Obama “could give a shit” about terrorism.

Her suspension was doled out Monday afternoon along with Fox News strategic analyst Ralph Peters, who called Obama a “total pussy.”

“Earlier today, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air,” Fox senior executive vice president Bill Shine said in a statement.

“Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks.”

Honestly, it’s just crazy that a network known for such intense Bush worship can’t handle a little pussy. BOOM SUCKERS I’M OUT!

[/SPOILER]

That's a little rash for a suspension. I remember Shepherd Smith was running a story about someone running from the cops who ended up shooting himself in the head live. Shep said something like "cut it off cut it off cut the goddamn camera off!" and nobody made a peep out of it.

I was watching the day he did that and I don't remember him swearing. He just kept saying "get off it." I'm not seeing a raw clip of it anywhere unfortunately. He's done plenty of other stuff on the air, though. Run a you tube search for "Shepard Smith apologizes" some time when you're bored and you'll get a bunch of fun clips.

You can hear someone in the background exclaim something a second before Shepard said "get off it". Probably the visceral reaction Autumnal Equinox was thinking of.

Move to Canada if you want to keep receiving that special pussy pass treatment, honey.

Damned if I can find it now, but I swore I saw a link to a study showing women were more likely to use force multipliers in domestic violence.
I was having a tough goddamned time with this because, as usual, the first results are the kind of cunts that use studies that use words like "FEMICIDE."

But there's at least this paper, which finally discusses cases of women acting unhinged, instead of having every stat be "omg waman hurt."
Women were more likely to use weapons, often in order to protect themselves.
None of the other 31 female sole perpetrator cases could be described as involving “battering” by the women concerned. While some of these cases involved physical violence from the woman, including potential use of weapons, the male victims appeared not to fear the perpetrator or to be controlled by her.
The tendency of the police to focus on individual incidents rather than patterns of behaviors meant that women’s use of weapons, albeit for protection, led to women being arrested more often for high-level assaults than men. McMahon and Pence (2003) argue that this is a gendered approach because it does not take into account the wider IPV pattern of women using weapons in self-defense rather than as main aggressors.
As a side-note, McMahon and Pence can fuck off.

It's an interesting read. Zero mentions of a bullshit word like "femicide" on that one. Whether or not you believe that most of them were just self-defense and it's the man that started it is up to you since it's usually just 'he said, she said,' but women are still more likely to be picking up items, while men are more likely to restrain a woman coming in swinging because men aren't afraid of a fucking twig (though they should be.)

Yeah, I bet Dash wasn't talking about someone literally shooting themselves on live TV, though.
