So let me see if I have this right, Covid-19, a Coronavirus, behaves like every other Coronavirus? You mean it's not airborne AIDS? But yep, increasingly sounds like all that was actually needed was symptomatic people, and people who knew for a fact they’d been exposed, to self-isolate. Pass some legislation to ensure that folks in that situation didn’t get fired or lose wages for staying home for two weeks, they could file for some government funding, would’ve been cheaper than the stimulus. Everyone else just goes about their business.
Good news is if we don’t start this shit back up again it looks like we can recover to a decent extent.

Given the actual contents of the video and the description, it seems like they mistakenly published one of those annoying auto-playing videos that show up in the middle of their online articles.

The current strains are far more divergent than what hit China, so you're right, the virus in its current form is probably a lot less lethal than what we were dealing with.

The lockdown probably did some good in that, but if we had good data from China instead of the shitshow they put on, we wouldn't be in this mess. The entire world really needs to punish China so they don't fuck around like this again. Sanctions, tariffs, whatever. Doesn't need to be hostile, just hamstring them economically and make them regret their decisions.

Not really. As an organization grows there will be a level of control lost either due to incapability or stupidity. Someone is bound to screw up but I won't be believing anything WHO tells us unless there is a third party without anything to gain that can verify the information.
