If coercion (e.g. by blackmail) into sex makes the act constitute sexual assault, what would people think if the blackmail being used was the fact that the victim sexually assaulted the now-perpetrator? What if, to an arbitrary recursive depth, they're blackmailing each other with the fact that the other assaulted them?

At that point it just sounds like a case of domestic violence. Both the original victim and the original perpetrator are engaged in a mutually destructive relationship.

Not even a joke in some countries, like jolly old England.

Rape

(1)A person (A) commits an offence if—

(a)he intentionally penetrates the vagina, anus or mouth of another person (B) with his penis,

(b)B does not consent to the penetration, and

(c)A does not reasonably believe that B consents.

(2)Whether a belief is reasonable is to be determined having regard to all the circumstances, including any steps A has taken to ascertain whether B consents.

(3)Sections 75 and 76 apply to an offence under this section.

(4)A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable, on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for life.
For a country that is as woke as England, they still keep this fucking outdated definition of rape.

At that point they're just having sex with more foreplay.
