Awesome find. Finally we can confirm at least one thing about his past life as being true. The rest is so murky it's hard to unravel.
Thanks for the update. I was getting tired of using various reverse image sites to try to see if the picture was stock. Any updates on the real name?
Nothing definite. He's used a ton of different names at different times and they all seem to be surnames of people to whom he is actually related but we haven't yet been able to confirm which one of those surnames (if any) is the one he was born with. It's painstaking work. He's very prolific and the clues are hidden in among a lot of white noise.
You know, looking at that picture, it strikes me as much more 80-ish than 90's. I don't know if it helps pin things down timewise, but that hair and makeup is circa 1985 or so. Or maybe Coll is one of those people who never updated their look (except when they decided they were a dude, I guess).
I thought the same thing when I first saw it. Glamour portraits had certain "looks" at certain time periods.
If that was taken in 1996, then Coll would have been 27. If it was taken during the 1980s, then he would have been late teens to early 20s. The tattoo suggests that he was probably (but not definitely because it's always possible to get tattoos done underage) an adult when it was taken, but unless it shows up somewhere else we probably can't confirm or refute the 1996 date.

So did we decide that this image was a photoshopped by adding stubble, changing eyes to blue, smoothing, and reshaping the face? I'm assuming the image was reduced in size at some point when uploading or run through a filter because in its current form, it doesn't have any obvious editing when you open it in photoshop (like Obama's birth certificate does).

Pretty much.
They probably used a "makeover" app of some kind. There are thousands of them, and with some you make all the changes online and then download the final product. It's not commercial photography quality retouching, so it's probably some fairly easy to use "beauty" app (or possibly a couple of apps - I've done that before).

Very heavily retouched. Look at the obvious blurring under the eyes. The eyes have been enlarged (that bit is more pixelated than the rest of the face) and the irises are from a different picture (obvious cut marks all around). And the clumsy stubble - doesn't quite meet up with the sideburns. The horizontals and verticals of the building behind are warped, so something has been done to alter the shape of the face.

The chin definition is what looked weird to me, like it didn't match the rest of the face, which to me appears on the verge of uncanny valley. Maybe it is the eyes too, like you said.
There's no depth to the face. That's part of what gives the uncanny valley look. Someone on SoSe said it looked like two or more faces had been merged into one picture.
I found what I think is the original, slightly shopped image (neck creases have been smoothed and double chin erased).
Same photo partly retouched, before all facial hair is added and eye colour changed.
There are other photos which have clone stamped facial hair.

Wow excellent sleuthing skills! I was going to say that in the shopped picture it looks like the left ear is melting off the face...but now I think thats not a result of the shop...
I like that in the binder group his photo is different edits of the same shop. Some have dark blue eyes, some have light (ones on the left), all have shopped to plastic skin.
And he thinks he only has 6 ribs per side. Humans have 24 ribs.
Oh, well done! That is definitely the base image!
