Alabama was pissed that they weren't in the SEC game, much less losing to Auburn.

Privately, I think Saban is starting to question whether or not Alabama is a good enough team to compensate for its poor quarterback, good enough to be champions at least.

The QB isn't the issue for Alabama right now, their pass defense seems leaky and their offense has the most predictable play calling Ive ever seen. That said, they do execute those very predictable plays extremely well

All of that was present before Hurts. Hurts just sucks, and its painful to watch him against teams on Alabama's caliber. He is constantly getting bailed out by the Alabama Defense NOPE'ing entire offenses and his own pocket defense being good.

I think Georgia ends up national champs, if not them then Oklahoma. Not exactly a lot of faith in number one...

None in Alabama either but, as I said earlier, I am glad they are there. It might be fun to a watch a game or two with the tide as underdogs, we haven't seen that in a long, long time.

Also, I am content with a Fiesta Bowl against Washington. Was hoping for Notre Dame but that became unlikely a few weeks ago and hey, at least it isn't UCF or TCU.

I don't think Hurts is bad at all, but saying he's the best QB under Saban is kinda dumb, too. McCarron made better decisions with the ball and executed better, and McElroy was the perfect QB under a Saban offense. I thinks Hurts is EASILY the best athlete the Tide has ever had under center by a mile, but his on-field decision making simply isn't anywhere near the league of the aforementioned

I mean, Alabama and LSU for sure, you're right. But Auburn, UGA and South Carolina all have really solid secondaries that shut down good passing teams and force you to grind out runs on 1st down to allow for pocket penetration on 3rd.
