Observation of wind speed in San Francisco indicates that the weekend she was in San Francisco was the least windy that weather has been there in the last two weeks or more. If that made it too difficult to go through with her camping plans, she clearly did absolutely zero research as to what weather conditions were likely to be at the time of her trip.
Wait, she lives in Chicago, a city that has been known to get dangerously cold at times, yet complains it's too "windy" in San Fran.

Also :powerlevel: San Fran was not that windy Saturday (6/16) when i was there (and hoping not to run into her) in comparison to other times. Sure the bay air is chilly but no worse than Chicago (esp with the snow). She's totally blowing smoke.

Eh yea and no. July and August are more hot days in the Bay area. Up north gets warmer. SF stays pretty cool due to the ocean
Edit: also it's still cold most of the time at night in SF even if not was hotter than hell in the day time.

Coltard actually has a point here. Given that BPD is just clinical jargon for irredeemable asshole and not a treatable disorder like anxiety there's nothing that can be done other than tolerate them except change tolerate to ignore and avoid.

Colt is very focused on "self-care" for her self right at whatever moment she's at. She hasn't yet figured out that her future self could use some self-care from her present self too, in the form of not making obviously catastrophically stupid choices.
Yeah, he seems to give absolutely no thought to any future consequences of his actions, and doesn't see how any of his current circumstances are the direct consequences of his past actions. Everything takes place in the moment, as if anything he did (or didn't do) in the past is not a factor, and anything he does now will have no repercussions.
And only other people's actions carry consequences for Colt; never his own. That he spent money he apparently didn't even have to fly to SF for 48 hours isn't why he can't afford sliding-scale therapy costs; it's because the tugboat for free therapy ran out and now he's expected to pay. That he can't keep getting all of the services he used to from the Center on Halstead isn't because he's a proven parasite upon whom their resources are wasted; it's because the CoH doesn't love trans people enough. If he's unhappy in Chicago, it isn't because he's burned every friendship with other trans people and willing allies, and made himself generally unwelcome; it's because Chicago itself is trans-unfriendly.
I've got a personal lolcow (a covert Narcissist) who does the exact same thing--she's never wrong; she never makes bad decisions; every self-inflicted misfortune is always somebody else's fault. And it makes me think that maybe Colton got dx'ed Borderline as a "lesser evil" diagnosis than Narcissism (because BPD, unlike NPD, can be improved with therapy), and is actually claiming BPD as a means of carrying out Narc manipulation.
It's pretty goddamned fascinating, tbh.
She knows. She absolutely knew that the trip to SF wouldn't just leave her broke for this month but would put her in the hole for next month as well. She just doesn't care about consequences in the moment and wants everyone to pity her because BPD.
I have standards for therapy; they must be willing to accept my delusional thinking instead of trying to help me. For free no less. No haggle.
