There are better ways to get along with your friends here at the Farms. We call them Green Choices, it's where we think about others and try to make them feel great! It helps you make friends and learn new things and stay safe.

A Green Choice would be to add a signature to tell people how big words hurt your brain. That way, you can stay safe from words and people know to keep things short. Kind of like how you wear your football helmet everywhere to keep from hurting your head on the sidewalk.

And always take the time to tell other posters 'yes!' when they ask how smart you are. Because you're a good monkey and you know it.

No, I don't have any plans to do another cover for CYBERFROG BLOODHONEY. Maybe in a year or two, but not right now. I overprinted the ashcans by 50% and I had nearly 2000 extra chromium books between the first two covers combined. So I'm selling those. They're pure profit now. I'm moving on to REKT PLANET.

But I did make a poster of one of the Jae Lee covers I paid handsomely for! It's 24 by 36 inches, a really nice piece of art.

That's the new item on this campaign, and so far it's doing pretty good.

You should get heavy metal as a subscription, just to check out some of their artists. Quality went down but its still miles ahead of Superhero comics and the style is different enough to make for good variant covers. Its also a tax write off.

No sugarcoating, but the real truth. I mean, sure I can't draw properly anymore, but I had experience in comics/manga, 3d animation, traditional animation. My advice will be based on my experience in how ugly yet beautiful the industry is.

You can only be canceled when you decided to be canceled. Back in the days of yore, I became a pariah in the comics industry because of my opinions and there was no SJWs even back then. I drew comics on bond paper, xeroxed it, and talked to comicbook shops to try consign my comics. I even bootstrapped myself to even buy a small printing equipment that went bankrupt to produce my own comics, until I realize, I didn't really love comics that much to suffer for it, and I walked away, basically canceling myself. In fact, there are so many ways to make/produce/publish your own comics nowadays, its laughable to think you can be actually "canceled"

Anyway, we're here to talk about your art, and that we shall do.

First, you do have a basic grasp on anatomy, but definitely have trouble on translating on what you envision on your mind to how you draw it and you probably have the wrong references to study anatomy from.
Second, on your faces, you rely too much on the mouth to convey expressions. I do notice that you keep drawing female lips fully. stop that, its ugly, there's actually no need to line the upper lip fully.
Yeah, let's improve on the anatomy first before we can comment on the clothes. But a small note, try to check some fashion. plain shirt and jeans (even on the women), are what fucking lazy artists do.

As for the paneling, remember, comics are sequential art. Everything must flow in order. Trunks is facing right, but on the bottom panel Trunks is facing left. the reader's brain will tell that its weird.

Anyway, we could go on. but we are here to improve your art.
1. Try drawing the same face in different angles. I can't exactly put it into words, but your drawing falls apart when you try to draw in angles you are not accustomed to, probably you never tried to draw your drawings as 3d objects, that's why it looks really flat. practice it. kinda something like this

2. Try drawing eyes only that convery different emotions. As they say, eyes are the windows to the soul, one look at the eyes must tell the viewer what the character is feeling. For practice, try drawing eyes and eyebrows showing different emotions. when you are proficient at it, try drawing it without eyebrows.
3. since you are still not good at it, sketch it FIRST!
sketching will allow you to know the proper placement of the eyes, nose and mouth in relation to the face.

4.really get a good reference for anatomy. Really. get one, it will help a lot in ways you cannot imagine.

thank you for the critique and advice. I really appreciate it! There‘s a book called Guide to Drawing From Life written by George Brdgeman that I’m waiting for in the mail. Everything that you said about my drawing of faces is dead on and I’ll start doing those exercises you suggested. You’re also right about the clothes, It’s lazy as fuck, but that goes back to me not being used to drawing things in 3-D.

While your critique has made me self conscious of my art, at the same time, I really needed it. Again, I thank you. I guess I have a long way to go before I come out with my own book.
