In the community watch section of the forums there should be a mod edit on the OP or some sort of way to jump to the areas in a thread where it starts to get taken over by members of said communities. Some community threads have 200+ pages and idk if it's just me being lazy but I don't wanna search through an entire thread to find juicy bits.

Do the "infected" and "plagued" labels actually have anything to do with the quality of posting or discussion in those threads?

I post in the Something Awful thread, which presumably is labelled "infected" because I and other people with SA accounts post there, but I wouldn't say that the thread is of a lower quality than most others on the site. Or maybe I'm just biased.

It works more like if multiple Spergs from the communities being discussed go in and shit up the CW thread here.

I find it hard to believe that after 500+ pages and nearly 4 years; The Something Awful and Friends Thread has not had a single issue of SA users going in and throwing a tantrum in the thread. The tags work more like "There was a Whiteknight/Sperg from the community in here during the course of this Thread." than it being actively lower quality.

The DA thread started as a SoSe thread, only for it to become an SA thread when people realized where most of the autism was coming from. So in that sense it was infected from the start, though I don't think it got that rating until Shmorky's psychotic ex showed up in it.
