Constantly Being Logged Out -

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else, but every five minutes I spend away from the site, I seem to get logged out. Hell, just right now, I logged in, went back to the index page, and found myself logged out again. I'm hitting the keep me logged in box, but it's not really good for much. Why does this happen, and is anyone else experiencing this?

Yea, that happens to me too, but on a much more infrequent basis. As in, every few days...today it happened twice though.

Are you browsing by phone? If so, your session ID probably keeps being invalidated due to changing IPs or something.
You might try clearing your cache because you might be carrying an expired session ID that keeps getting re-used.

The funny thing is I wasn't being logged off nearly as much on my phone as I am right now on my computer.

It'll happen to me every few days as well, on my computer. I don't really use cwckiforums.com much on my ipod or anything, so I can't attest to how it works on mobile.

That's sort of weird.
If you try logging out, deleting your cwckiforums.com cookies, and logging back in again, that might also have been the issue. I don't see what else it could be, since it doesn't seem to be site-wide.

This exact thing has been happening to me for a few days now. It's not too much of nuisance, but I used to be able to stay logged on for days without keeping a tab open.

Out of curiosity, did it have to do with the change to HTTPS? That encrypts session IDs, right?

I don't know. The setting I changed disabled browser validation. It's possible hunter has some sort of privacy addon that manipulates his user agent or something.

There's an additional setting that checks host referral to prevent redirect hijacks, which may also trigger on an http to https redirect.

Guh. It logged me out whilst typing on mChat. I got the "you do not have permission to post here" popup, which was confusing for a sec.

I have done some research and found out that the cookie retains information about the protocol. I've switched cookies over to secure cookies which should maybe resolve the issue.

I get automatically logged out every few hours. Not a big deal to me though.

EDIT: In fact, logging me out is helpful so that it doesn't show me as "online" anymore if I'm not. It only logs me out if I haven't been active for a while.

EDIT 2: Although, it is kind of frustrating that the "log me in automatically" option doesn't work.
