I know we have some field agents and in the past, Chris's heartsweets were usually online so easily faked. I was wondering if there have ever been females who went into the field agent area or any in the Charlottesville area. i ask this specifically after the encounter one of the forum-goers had in McDonald's, where Chris answered and spoke with him at a length. One would think he would more easily be taken by a female who acted as though she didn't know who he was and showed an interest in him.

......ok, not an interest in HIM, but an interest in his DS or PSP from a gamer perspective to strike something up with him. With some advance planning a female agent could be a lot easier to slip into some content gathering, so I'm wondering if it's been done before.

I understand no female would want to ever make that sacrifice, though. Who wants to be around a smelly manchild who touches you and makes you uncomfortable?

I've seen the Emily date, but didn't that only include one date together and have more of an online interaction before and after it? It didn't seem like a long-term thing. Any girl showing interest in Chris himself right away nowadays would get brushed off as a troll.

You know, you got me thinking.

A few years back, he would absolutely do anything to talk with a girl IRL, even though she would probably be a troll.
But now, in his recent secluded, paranoid shell, does he still want to have that kind of interaction, even if she was a field agent? In the Internet, sure, he would avoid that, but a real life encounter with a YOUNG LAY-DEE would really get him confused over what to do and how he should respond. Especially if she was offering China for free AUGH YEAH

Well, Kacey met Chris IRL.

We don't have many IRL field agents of either gender. We've had a handful, tops. Well a handful, assuming you're not counting pre-internet sagas.

Well, first off, Chris doesn't know who is or who isn't a troll immediately nowadays. He can be quick to label someone as a troll, but it's not instant.

So, first of all, he's suspicious of the whole world around him in general, but they're not immediately trolls. If a girl approached him, he'd have to think about what to do. Her behavior would be a big part of the decision making process for Chris.

I think if she was really over-interested in Chris (like "OMG you are such a handsome guy, what's up with that skirt??"), I think he might accuse her of being a troll. He's not willing to get trolled for something that obvious.

But if it was a bit more believable, he'd be a lot more willing to get involved. He'd probably still be paranoid, so he'd make some confusing statement about the trolls and his internet reputation and how he's worried she's a troll. He'd probably specifically tell her he's worried she's a troll. If she acts confused at that point, like "what's a troll," she'd probably have it in the bag.

That's what I was thinking about, Marvin, just didn't think of all the details. My mind is clearer now. Thanks!

The sad thing about Chris is that he believes anything said with a straight face. He just doesn't have the mental capacity for subtle discernment.

What about Field Agent Lolli? Did we ever find out what happened to her?

But is getting close to Chris really worth all that effort for a Female Field Agent? Imagine the sheer effort required just to keep a straight face. I know I wouldn't bother. Especially as the longer a FFA maintains contact and the more comfortable Chris gets with her, the creepier Chris will become. Unless the FFA manages to give Chris an acceptable excuse (like "I'm living in another state - also I'm a lesbian") eventually Chris will expect a little china and will make a play for something the FFA does not want to give him. No matter how enormous the FFA's comfort zone is, sooner or later Chris will but right out of it.

tl;dr: Yes, it's possible. No, it's not worth it.

Oh yeah, it's almost certainly not worth it, unless she really knows what she's doing. She possibly could try a solid, but brief IRL meeting (phone call, her dad is in the hospital!) and then just hold on to Chris via phone calls and occasional video chats. It's possible and if she's really into internet nerdery it might be worth it to her. But anyway, these all old ideas and without some interesting, new ideas, the resulting saga would just be a rehash of Panda, Ivy and Kacey. *yawn*

I guess the question is, what would you like to see? What saga is as yet untold?

Alec stole Sonichu/the Fandase, Liquid stole Chris himself. Blanca stole the medallion. Kacey stole his childlike innocence and Jackie stole his sanity. Ivy got him to propose, but I guess she probably stole something of his too.

What does he have left to take?

Some of the posts on this thread are starting to look like trolling plans..... just saying. I would be afraid to encourage any female to approach CWC IRL. It sounds like a good way to end up in a pit under 14 Blanchard Court getting moisturizing tips.

Hey Marvin, did you actually witness Chris' attempt to kiss Emily? I am just curious if it is as funny and awkward as it sounds.

There might not be anything left to he taken from Chris, but I don't think we have to take anything away. Our goal with Chris has evolved from childish cyber-bullying to documentation. We aren't stupid kids snatching away the weird kid's toys anymore. I still feel bad we did that to begin with.

A field agent would be there merely to document Chris's behavior in a natural environment. So far we only have a few reports and assumptions based on facebook and his videos. We all know Chris behaves differently when he's not in front of a camera. He can even be a nice, almost charming person. All a field agent would have to do is get close to him to watch, David Attenborogh stylie.

If I did not live in Australia I'd be pretty willing to act as a field agent. I wouldn't be Megan. I wouldn't hang out with him that often. I'd be the girl he keeps bumping into while out and about. A friendly face down for a quick chat who was blissfully ignorant of his online reputation. Who knows what kind of knowledge he'd spill if someone was just willing to sit and listen. I have no plans of ever going to Virgina so this officially cannot be considered a trolling plan.

That's just it though: it would take a ween level of interest to make the attempt, but weens don't have the dedication or subtlety to pull it off. For anyone else the potential reward simply does not justify the risk.

But anyway, these all old ideas and without some interesting, new ideas, the resulting saga would just be a rehash of Panda, Ivy and Kacey. *yawn*
Not just by the FFA's intent, too. Even if the hypothetical FFA has some completely new and original idea for trolling, in his eternal quest for china Chris will himself turn it into nothing more than a Panda / Ivy / Kacey rehash. At best. Trolls may be fresh and new, but Chris will always be Chris.

To be honest, I'm really not interested in any field agent based schemes anyways. Been there, done that, as it were. I'm more interested in hearing from the various people that Chris gets involved with all on his own. I would love to hear an accounting of the walmart incident from the asset protection manager herself, though I don't expect to ever hear it and don't recommend anyone bothering her to get it. The same goes for the smoking gal. A field reporter within the Ruckersville and other local police departments would be ideal, as would one in the local Adult Human Services, but unfortunately neither will likely ever happen.

I rather think we never were. I also prefer to think of most of the good "trolls" of the past more as "environmental enrichers", many of whom did their best to try to get Chris out of his dreary little rut and start making a real life for himself. Just look at the Alec calls: they're one exhortation after another for Chris to stop being, well, Chris. But Chris will be Chris, and the only person, ultimately, that could prevent the downward spiral that is his life is himself.

As to the weens and julays and their constant harassment: that was going to happen no matter what. I mean just look at him. Chris is the Timothy Treadwell of trollery. Eventually he was going to get eaten up, it was just a matter of when.

Who knows what kind of knowledge he'd spill if someone was just willing to sit and listen.
Except if you sit and listen long enough, eventually Chris is gonna want a little china in return. He has his own stupid agenda and unless you have unholy powers of persuasion things will get ugly if you try to steer him away from it. But then things will probably get ugly no matter what. Because Chris.

Chris trolling has reached the point of diminishing returns. Any female FA who put in the effort required to troll him now would get almost nothing out of it that was remotely worth what she'd have to put into it.

The best endeavors are things like the facebook moles that leak content every now and again. Chris is entertaining enough on his own. The recent Liquid-Megan stuff isn't really all that interesting, despite the fact that some troll has actually managed to convince Chris that they are Megan. So what really comes of it? More over the top Megan bashing on FB? More lego voodoo? a "i hate Megan" Curse-ye-ha-me-ha filled return to youtube? Megan has already weighed in on Chris's recent BS and she apparently doesn't give a fuck, so this fake Megan shit won't end in the grand showdown that some people (including Chris) want to see.
