Continuance of the Entersphere Board -

I don't really know how to feel at the moment. One of the biggest reasons I haven't been posting here that much besides all the arguing bullshit going on is that I haven't really been giving a flying fuck about what this subforum is about nor anything else that has to do with him. Perhaps a massive purging is in order and the suggestions others have thrown here. I mean I wouldn't give a fuck if this whole goddamn place disappeared, though I still think AnimatedJames is worth talking about.

I'm kind of embarrassed to see all the nonsense that's still going on here even months after this place was created in the first place. I mean there's still not enough integration going on at all IMO.

I wonder what @Null thinks of this, due to the recent turn of events, such as the two people he depended on for the info (Hellblazer and Alan) not having any more hope for the board (for good reasons, such as constantly ignoring the most basic requests and the same stuff being posted over and over). I personally don't care if it's kept or not but I'd like to hear from the man himself so a solution can be settled, whether it be nuking the board or keeping it.

I remember back in the old "Trial of the Entersphere" thread that Null started that he said that if the subforum couldn't really continue to exist in any meaningful way, he'd condense all of the important content back into the old Mysterious Mr. Enter topic and then move it back to lolcows.

It's a shame to see the subforum go, since one of the Enterbots here irked me enough to actually quit lurking and start posting, but it's just kinda obvious now that there's not exactly enough to justify a subforum, and it would just be better if we condensed it all into one thread rather than one separate subforum that most of the Kiwi Farms doesn't even want to acknowledge exist anymore.

Honestly, I'd say we take the important bits of Growing Around, Animated Atrocities, and Admirable Animations and condense them into the old thread, then move this back into the Lolcows and let it live or die by its own merits there. Anyone that's really just here for Enter content, trolling or not, will probably end up abandoning the Farms in its entirety then. We've tried and, well, we just didn't really succeed, but it's better to shut it all down than to end up a Nayolfa.

If this ends up the end of the Entersphere, then I have to say, it was a good run while it lasted, even if it did end up having a collapsing lung and choking to death on the wayside.

We've had subforums before, one to the Golden Knight and another to Moleman9000. When they became inactive (or in the case of Moleman, he stopped embarrassing himself every other week), the subforums were locked and archived. While Mr. Enter isn't exactly inactive, we seem to have overestimated how much we could exactly get from discussing him. Despite being extremely dense and arrogant to a fault, Enter has at least the common sense to not acknowledge the Farms or actively feed the trolls, and thus all we have is whatever content he releases. Some of it is new information, but I think we've long since broken down, in detail, everything that we dislike about Enter. Moving all of the still vaguely interesting stuff (Growing Around, his series, etc.) into a general forum on Lolcows and either archiving or burning this subforum might be the best move.

If the mods can the sub-forums, they should at least archive it. Most archive.md links are in here, and Nayolfa's short appearance was hysterical.

Yeah, if we do end up having to shut down the Enter subforum, I'd still like to have a few things stay alive in the Lolcow subforum. Enter may not be very active, but he's still worth discussion, especially his made-of-fail idea for a TV show, Growing Around. Topics closely related to Enter himself can be pretty interesting. It's the more minor threads that tend to get spergy and derail easily, but larger threads like the one for Growing Around actually generate some interesting discussion.

If you guys end up locking the subforum, can I request you move the 03bgood and AnimatedJames threads into the main lolcow board? Those guys are lolcows on themselves independent of the Entersphere.

I'm pro keeping this board since unless you ban discussion of Enter-related lolcows altogether(an unacceptable premise) you're just flushing the toilet into Lolcow which benefits no-one. Taking it down and then rebuilding the whole thing if Enter discussion picks up again is a bigger hassle than simply toughing it out through a minor content drought.

I think that's a very reasonable position. One of the big problems I keep seeing over and over are repeat offenders trying to spam up the place and from what I've seen, the activity here has really come to a standstill at the moment for the reason you stated.

I support this position, it's just that it seems like nobody cares anymore about trying to make this place better anymore, so we kinda can't get things done.

the drought isn't the main issue (thought it doesn't help) the main issue is the fact that threads here ether go waaaaay off topic, are pretty much repeats of other threads or have very little to do with enter people not learning how to ignore off topic posts or report them and just general shit posting.
plus the fact that there isn't really alot to talk about outside of enter james and osgood since most of the other enter bots are young most growing around threads like i said usually devolve into the same points over and over the entersphere as a hole is kinda dull and prouble could just be one thread (or three in this case)

This could be answered by holding the discussion on the forum to the standard of other boards. Idiots and shitposters can be made examples of(either naming&shaming / warning system / threadbans) and people who come here just to ruffle feathers for the sake of a joke can be probably reasoned with if the situation is actually dire.

Honestly I never really thought Enter should have gotten his own sub-forum.
There's bigger cows out there with more shit surrounding them than this loser who don't get their own forums. The Entersphere isn't as big and milkable as people make it out to be, and Enter doesn't put out nearly enough content or drama on a regular basis to deserve more than a thread.
The forum served to rat out some stupid/underaged posters, most of which were obvious butthurt ex-fans, but now it's just a stagnant pool. I say pull the plug and move Enter and his most notable followers to Lolcow.

Oh, a poll? Nice. I'm somewhat divided between options three and four. I agree with @Clown Doll that dumping three or four Enter threads in Lolcow is unadvisable, and outright banning Enter discussion is idiotic. This subforum can stay, but it needs, in the immortal words of Billy Mays, "a serious clean up". Perhaps even a complete overhaul.

If the subforum survives, I have a few ideas I can PM to @Hellblazer or @Alan Pardew if they want to. Although I'm a sped, I doubt anybody cares .

By the way, for the guys from the chat and other parts of the forum, as much as I love derping with you guys, I would like you to please keep the weenery away from the poll just this once. We're trying to get things done here, don't be disruptive. The only people who should vote are the ones who have been involved in some capacity with this subforum.

Yeah looking back on it this sub forum has been one hot mess and I've sadly contributed. With the recent lack of content and most discussions going either off topic or simply being big "what if/your opinion" debates. The only reason I would keep the subforum is for growing around but other than that, Enter could really keep his own thread.

I'm just repeating what I said in the other post but if everything gets nuked I do ask that AnimatedJames keep his thread and moved to lolcow as he's his own cow for reasons unrelated to Enter.
