It's funny that last year this was still okay to say at my university but this factoid was removed from the curriculum this year (I have a friend who has recently done the same classes this year that I did last year. Gender Dysphoria in children was mentioned in two different lectures. That 80% or more of children grow out of gender insanity was completely removed from his classes).

Now I know that this was just me being gay during puberty and feeling very insecure about myself. With getting older almost all of the dysphoria disappeared with the exception of a hatred towards my body hair. Teenagers feel insecure about a variety of stuff. The difference is that we don't pump a young boy with steroids to get bigger muscles or help a young girl to get breasts implants because she thinks her breats are too small at the age of 14. I'm just glad that I was able to experience my puberty during a time when it was still okay to feel uncomfortable as a teenager and it was considered normal to feel so during puberty. Had I been born just 5 years later, TRAs probably would have helped me already to castrate myself and just thinking about this is horrifying to me.

I'm with you there, I was much the same way. First trans identifying person I ever met was someone who grew out of it (I was involved in the anime convention community in my country so was bound to encounter troonery sooner or later) I think also this is just the zoomer version of the counter culture trend every generation has and leaps onto for the sake of belonging, insecurity, or narcissism. I think thats partly why theres a rise in the whole non-binary trend. It's less effort and its such a vague and indistinct concept that people don't wanna go through the effort of questioning it. Its also the new identity trend for celebrities. 10-15 years ago they'd come out as bisexual to try to salvage a sinking career, now they come out as having they/them pronouns. Demi Lovato is the most recent example and perfectly fits the mold I've seen among most enbys.
If you're trans and your body and gender identity are polar opposites you're gonna go through some shit, you may deal with a lack of support, transitioning socially, hormonally or surgically. You may need to deal with not passing. Demi Lovato and your typical enby dont have any of these actual struggles. Most of them seem to be women who come out as non-binary but who still present as woman, pass as feminine, acts feminine, and comfortably adopts the gender role and social behaviours of a cis woman. Theres no attempt to be in any way masculine or seriously androgynous. They dont have to worry about surgery or hormones or passing or dating. They just want the clout of an identity that can be tied to trans without any of the effort. Its all about ass-pats, not for identifying as something that only needs to hold meaning for them, and not anyone else.

Lovato is 100% jumping on this train for career reasons. The last time she was a hot topic was in 2018 when she OD'd on heroin. Now shes having public melt downs over low fat cookies telling people to boycott a small business and coming out as they/them. This is the same woman who had her documentary about sobriety axed cause turns out she was drugged off her tits while filming it. If you're the kind of person to fake a social identity for clout, trans is the identity thats in fashion right now, and if youre too lazy to be trans, just be non binary instead.

It's exactly this bullshit faux-masculine pretention of unaffected stoicism that prevents them from admitting that it was stupid and wrong. Because if they admitted that, then they would have to admit being weak stupid little girls who were taken advantage of, and that's exactly what they were trying to get away from or avoid by "becoming men", only to fall into a whole other trap.

In this part where he talks about his relationship to Oliver and being "a straight woman" (ie the fact that he banged dudes as part of his LARP initially), he compares his experience of briefly identifying as a straight woman with a detransitioner who briefly identified as trans:

Somehow i doubt Nykocado Autogynocado would be too interested in covering msm trans news thats gonna be forgotten the day after, at least for the time being. Of course, like most people here, I doubt Nyk being sober will last long since that would require therapy to deal with the issues Nyk was tryna drown in booze and horse piss pills in the first place.
