Apparently the socialist group that organized these "protests" are defending them, colour me surprised.

Man you sure stuck it to H&M guys, trashing a store that likely employs predominantly black, minimum wage workers who will have to clean up the stores and then because H&M corporate has decided to temporarily close the locations those same black staff will be out of work for who knows how long.
...thereby priming them for recruitment into socialist groups in need of new protesters.

Well, that didn't last long.

Back to the topic: Yes, I'm sure that apartheid scarred South Africa. I don't see how it couldn't. (@Transvaalan may disagree, but given their username and their posting history, that's no surprise.) However, at some point, you have to wrestle out of the grip of the past and move forward. This isn't the way to do it!

It's cute people think that apartheid ended. It simply flipped, and very obviously so. Nobody cares about massacred white farmers though and whites being evicted and forced to live in shanties outside towns.
A black British journalist went over to have a look and actually ended up telling a man his white skin gave him privilege, while they were sat in the shack in the middle of a scrapyard that the man was forced to live in.

Meanwhile Zimbabwe wants white people to come back.

TFW your group of anti racism protesters harass a black family enough to force them to flee their home out of fear.

Nothing says "let's help black people" like harassing a black family out of their home. That sounds like some shit that would happen in the 30's when a black family would move into a white neighborhood or something.

Im really starting to think, that it's impossible to live peacefully with those nogs.
So either all the whites, get the fuck out of there and we let them rot, or we eradicate them from the face of the earth.

...or we could introduce a different kind of "seperateness", perhaps there is a word in afrikaans for it.

You know, primates before monkeys! (or the other way around).

I just don't understand how they can even achieve the mental gymnastics necessary to tell themselves they're doing the right thing for black people by HARASSING black people. Like, how fucked up must they be to try to rationalize that?

Even if white men had not touched South Africa, it would still be like this, hell, it would probably a lot worse. Who knows if South Africa has the ability move on. I think their problems stem from evolving in one of the most dangerous places in the world. Heat, famine, violence, and a plethora of diseases are to blame for SF's problems.

A lack of security, basic education, stable governments, infrastructure, and the people are just kinda shitty.

Most of Africa is pre-industrial and agrarian. Almost all of China was agrarian in the 1970s, but the politician Deng Xiaoping reformed it in massive strides. In China, the Government has many branches and heads of branches. President Xi Jinping is the Paramount Leader because he is the head of all the branches. Mao Zedong directly appointed Hua Guofeng to be the next president, which he was, but Deng Xiaoping outmaneuvered Hua and became the leader of all branches except the face of Government. The strict Communist Hua Guofeng was left basically powerless while Deng Xiaoping enacted sweeping reforms, converting China from a hardline Communist country to "socialist with Chinese characteristics".

Deng Xiaoping believed in ultimate authority for the Unitarian CPC (despite being less communist than Mao, he still was head of state during the Tiananmen Square incident), but also recognized the need for predictability and enacted the first constitution for the country. Although China is very strict, it is not arbitrary like shithole African countries. American tourists who go to Tibet to protest aren't going to get abducted and tortured, just evicted. China isn't out to antagonize anyone or hurt people, nor is it up in a tizzy over religious feuding / racial tensions, it's just trying to look out for #1: China.

Deng and following leaders turned the mostly rural China into an industrial powerhouse in under 50 years by focusing on the right things: stability, infrastructure, and education. Through continuation of these policies, it is looking to double-step again from an industrial nation to an information age leader by investing heavily in artificial intelligence research and in developing nations around it.

Africa, on the otherhand, has widespread corruption, constant civil war, religious tensions, racial tensions, and the people there just kinda fucking suck. You can't invest in Africa because there's no promise fucking Kony and his child soldiers won't sweep in and take all your shit. You can't trust the government to behave because they're somehow more corrupt than the fucking warlord with child soldiers. Everyone's poor, everyone's stupid, everyone is fucking pissed off all the time. It's just a dump.

I only found out today that there exists a country called Botswana which somehow has managed high growth, low racial tensions, no religious issues, and international cooperation through predictable government and mergers with large corporations. DeBeurs no longer needs blood diamonds because as it turns out Botswana has a ton of them and the government there is functional enough to protect their mining operations, so as a result Botswana gets tons of white people money for safe access to their diamonds and gold. It then takes this diamond and gold money and -- fuckin' get a load of this -- builds schools and supplies medicine to treat HIV/AIDS. It's fucking amazing.
I still think theres a lot of criticize China about. As far as industrialized nations go its got one of the highest wage gaps and doesnt treat its citizens very well when they want to speak out. For an industrialized nation there is a large amount of corruption in China too.

Mineral wealth likely didn't help. Mineral wealth is zero sum. Every ounce of the milkshake you drink is an ounce that someone else didn't get. There's no incentive to cultivate, plan, or build; just dig and steal.
