I also think there’s a problem with oxygenation. It looks like the haemoglobin is in a state where it’s unable to carry oxygen, or unable to release that oxygen to tissues AND some patients are seeing RBC levels drop as well. The combination, together with viral pneumonia and the layer of gunk coating the alveoli, is enough to put you into a pretty bad state.

It throws up some interesting targets - like cytochrome b5 reductase, G6pd again, but really someone needs to be looking at these patients blood. What percentage of haem is in the met form? Why is it doing that? What’s causing it? There’s form for some viruses causing oxidative haemolysis. Hep E does it and the effect is compounded in g6pd deficiency.

I read a paper that used a computer model to suggest that viral proteins target the heme group and yank the iron out of it. That would explain why you get respiratory distress if your blood can no longer carry oxygen and carbon dioxide. The same paper also suggested that chloroquine could inhibit this reaction.

Using computer models with no real evidence behind that can be used to prove santaclaus real though. We're gonna need some real data to take that shit seriously.

Yeah whatever study they'll do, they're going to rig it in ways against it.

What do people think of UV-C therapy stuff? It's not some moonbat shit, it's been tested plenty.
Youtube and Twitter took down a bunch of genuine UV therapy places. Seems they only want to hear science if it's the science they like.

I just debunked the AYTU video in another thread.

I did a custom search using the term AYTU from 2015-2019 and the only thing that comes up is stock related links. No mentions of any kind of new cutting edge treatments and procedures being talked about seems super fishy to me. The fact the quickly slapped together video got uploaded the day trump talked about UV being a potential treatment seems like the company released the video to generate interest from investors in their stock.

https://web.archive.org/web/20200419205302/https://aytubio.com/ A snapshot of their official website from april 19 2020 (a week ago) shows no mention of the Healight product anywhere on their site only shilling for covid-19 rapid test kits. Clearly to me this company seems bunk taking advantage of current trends to drum up potential interest in investors. If you go back further pre coronavirus the site comes across as a pharmaceutical company with zero products that relate in any way to viral infection whatsoever.

Furthermore here is an article showing a fraud investigation launched by AYTU bio investors over AYTU purchasing unreliable Rapid covid test kits from China and using them in at least 2 states. Needless to say this company has some serious red flags going on.

That's not the therapy though.
It's got a longer research history than ATYU.

The video that has been floating around was the ATYU video so that is what people are mostly referring to. I'm sure UV light has been looked into by other companies just not the AYTU one. I never heard about using UV light of any sort in human lungs prior to trump mentioning it, to me it seems like a proof of concept idea when it comes to that. From what I researched there is no treatment like that, that exists in other words nobody is legally doing any procedure like that on humans.

I've heard of nebulized hydrogen peroxide being used for some extreme lung infections. That's one way of getting a disinfectant into the body. Real attrition scenario tho..

AYTU may well be securities fraud, but they are just the marketing partner. The UV light therapy idea is supposedly coming out of Cedars-Sinai Hospital in socal, and there has been no retraction or other response from them, so it appears real. Surely the media is chomping at the bit to reveal the shady pharma company hawking Trumps fake treatment. Or maybe they really are incompetent nitwits.
That said, I have doubts about the efficacy of such treatment. How far from the source can the light really work?

Yeah, I was speaking more of blood irradiation. That was more of what was being talked about, especially in Swine Flu times, and they were the people having their accounts taken down. It's got more of a history.

Christina Lin talks about how South Korea has been using HCQ and seen much success, but in the US, it's too politicized.

Given the fact these governors seem to support women’s right to choose by keeping abortion clinics open during the lockdown, it does seem inconsistent they would view these health-care decisions not as a choice for patients to make for themselves, but as one for politicians to make for them.

She's actually a complete nutjob usually, but she makes good points as to what the opposition is.

Moderna's mRNA vaccine has had a successful Phase 1. All eight participants were able to produce antibodies, though it . Huge if it works, not only for this disease but for all diseases. Protein-based vaccines are expensive and time-consuming to make. If mRNA vaccines can work, they will be much cheaper and faster to produce. All you would need would be the sequence of a couple of the viral proteins and then you're good to go.

They also have the advantage of being safer in the immunocomprimised and pregnant (ie groups where a live vaccine would be too risky). Even better if the efficacy is better than killed virus (which does not produce as robust of an immune response) .

Im honestly concerned if any vaccines are going to be able to be trusted at all. Before you rate me dumb or autistic, just consider that a cure is too good to be true, even if it works well, there is bound to have something hidden in there. It doesnt help we have found more effective treatements for it, to the point you must wonder why a vaccine is even necessary.

Well, a close friend of mine (who has some real NPC moments but he is cool otherwise) kept telling me about the risk of "blood clots" even on those who recovered. I tried to convince him that this wasnt the rule (and its more up to the doctors to find ways around it, not ours.) but he kept on that narrative. So not quite calling me a nazi but close enough I guess.
