I heard if they move you too much while vented up, you'll gain an extra hole in your lung. That's how you get the oxygen really flowing, again.

4,000 IU?
In the good ole days before the Coof I would take 3,000 during nasty flu seasons or if I'd been around a lot of strangers. Might not be a great idea to take that much daily forever, but for a few days or a week it shouldn't hurt anything.
I'm taking 5,000 IU every other day, year round. General advice really underestimate how much you need. Most people aren't in the sun all day like the good old days.

What is people's views on the whole Ivermectin thing?

It's so hard to find information to check. I generally think Bret Weinstein is at least well-intentioned and in good faith with his discussions of it. He's earnt trust and respect with me. Has been right on a few of the COVID mistruths months before they were allowed to be spoken.

Youtube has of course now taken down Bret Weinstiens video and given his channel a strike.

Even Weinstein thinks it only has "modest" anti-viral ability, but you obviously can't take high-power anti-Ebola drugs every day.

The video is up on the FLCCC (front line covid critical care) website. https://covid19criticalcare.com/
There are also lots of graphs on their webiste showing different outcomes in various countries that introduced ivermectin. India is the most remarkable imo because one of the states there refused ivermectin, used remdesivir instead and had their rates climb. The states that used ivermectin have graphs that look like inverted V's. It is really remarkable. Other places like czech republic have had similar results. They also bring up a case study of one of the nursing homes that was given covid patients but the residents were dosed with ivermectin by chance because of a scabies outbreak. The patients were protected during the ivermectin use. You can compare it to non-ivermectin nursing homes to get a picture of how remarkable that would be to have happened by chance and then again with india.

The FLCCC has dosage charts that are updated when evidence emerges. Fortunately you don't have to be as precise with this medicine as you would with say, tylenol.

Ivermectin is low risk and has been around since the 90s. The current vaccines are using very new technology so it is impossible to say what their long term safety record will be. This is important because many drugs can have their safety problems concealed, but only for a limited amount of time (usually between 5 and 7 years of the public using a drug). Like with celebrex, the drug passed the FDA despite inherent safety problems, and so those problems manifested themselves in the many millions of doses prescribed to the public. Eventually. If a drug has been around a long time there is also less reason to cover up any safety issues since it has gone generic and the payout is far less.

Ivermectin has been given to countries in many millions of donated doses to cure parasitic outbreaks. There seems to be a low rate of side effects. Many of the side effects listed on normal drug websites are attributed to ivermectin that aren't really applicable for taking it as a preventative, for instance many of them list eye health problems that aren't a concern unless you have worms in your eyes to begin with and the drug killed the worms (the parasite causes "river blindness"). Anyway they gave this drug to everyone they could based on their geography and the parasites in their region and there has not been a scandal of any sort.

I have found people on youtube who were taking veterinary formulations of this drug before covid started, for treatment resistant scabies (their doctors wouldn't write a script for a long enough time to kill the scabies, their insurance wouldn't cover it, so they bought some that was intended for horses or sheep and crunched the numbers to get the same dosage as before). So that is something a bunch of people did without dying, fwiw. It is better to talk to a doctor so they can take into account any other meds you take or your health status, although there are a lot of places where the doctors have been told that they can only recommend the vaccine, and also some pharmacies have gotten word on high to not fill any prescriptions for *any* treatment or prevention of covid 19.

If you don't want to take it for prevention it may be good to have on hand if you get sick with covid. The sooner you treat with viral infections the better the outcomes tend to be.

If I recall correctly a paper is due to be published today in a pharmacology journal about this drug. I don't know how large the study is or if anyone will care. It is another piece of evidence in a big pile.

you are confusing ivermectin with remdesivir. Ivermectin is a low cost anti parasite drug that weinstein takes for prevention of covid.

I had a bad cough for 2 days this week. If it was COVID, it was symptoms of just an annoying dry cough with some slight phlegm, and a running nose. I have interviews I need to attend soon, so can't have this linger and needed a solution fast. I can't get Ivermectin tablets without a prescription, so I bought the Durvet brand, Ivermectin horse paste (apple flavor) from amazon.

3 hours later, cough has extremely subsided and still improving, and the running nose and phlegm are gone. I wasn't tested for COVID, but it was a respiratory infection. No side effects from the paste. Just use the right amount for your weight. Treat this info as anecdotal and use at your own discretion. It was a $6 solution to my problem.

Thanks for the information You seem knowledgeable. Any take on the concern of the risk the spike protein poses in the mRNA vaccines?
