This is the point I was trying to make before. Getting vaccinated isn't just a 'one and done' scenario any more. We're not living in the 19th century and Covid isn't smallpox. Things have moved on and vaccine technology has made vast improvements from the days when you got jabbed one time and didn't have to worry about getting sick from a virus.
First of all no one has ever claimed that the vaccines give permanent protection. They give incredibly good protection over a limited time frame, just like all other modern vaccines do.
Is that protection a year? Six months? 3 months? 2 weeks? We have to listen to the health experts on this. So sure vaccines don't stop anyone from catching the virus (vaccines aren't designed to do that) they work over a finite time and we will need to be boosted and re-vaccinated for variants just like we are for measles, chicken pox, TB and a host of other diseases.
As for catching it again? To emphasize what we were told in 2020 when the vaccines were first approved, they cannot and are not intended to stop anyone from catching Covid. However they're safe and effective at being safe so we all must get the jab so we can stay safe and keep those around us safe. It's that simple.

COVID vaccines have stopped a lot of people from catching the virus. Very approximately, they reduced transmission of Alpha and Delta by about half. The Pfizer vaccine appears just as effective against Omicron as wild type for a month after the third dose, in vitro, take that as you will. Vaccines aren't a shield of invincibility, but they're not as useless in preventing infection as the anti-vaxers make them out to be.

They took blood drawn from clinical trials and tested it in a lab. Once something is in a glass test tube, it is literally in vitro. It's no longer in the organism. If you want an in vivo test, you have to kill a bunch of hamsters or rhesus macaques or convicts or something.
Here's a review of other serum tests that explicitly describes them as in vitro.

Currently they can make absurd amounts of money traveling, so they should take advantage of it while they can.
The true losers are likely the surgical residents since elective procedures keep getting canceled and they're gonna get trapped in residency for a few more years until they hit their numbers for board certification.

That's never really been the case, though. There's always been tetanus and rabies and a few others where you just don't have a vaccine that's one and done. Otherwise everyone would just be vaccinated against rabies already because a 100% fatality disease would definitely be worth vaccinating against. Instead, it's one of those oddballs where you get vaccinated only after getting infected (with a very few exceptions consisting of people who regularly work in contact with possibly rabid animals).
Vaxtards just sort of amaze me in their absolute ignorance of basic facts of their own lives. They've been getting jabbed their entire lives with one thing or another and suddenly this one is weird, and it's somehow incomprehensible that they come out with a vaccine during a pandemic. The measles vaccine still requires two shots. I think the hepatitis ones are three doses, maybe more. DTaP is like five.
But nobody cares or questions this (well, okay, except for how MMR causes autism or whatever) because you give them to babies, many of them you complete the set before their second birthday. This all gets thrown out as being invalid for adults grasping for reasons to not get something other than how they just don't want to. (Unless you're in the military and they give you like nine or ten sets of vaccines as an adult. Then you protest that the COVID vaccine is violating your free exercise of religion rights.)

I'll point out a few things. He has no IV or port in this image. That means he's not on a sedative, paralytic, or pain medication in this photo. Normally, if you're on a ventilator, you'll need these medications so you can tolerate having a tube in your lungs and throat. Ventilation is painful and feels terrible, a repeated pressure that people with a functioning brain will resist.
He's not conscious here. He didn't need those medications. He's brain dead. The Jahi McGrath thread can fill you in on all that. This is one of the problems with HIPAA. People can claim and say anything they want about the medical treatment or state of someone and doctors that have worked directly on the case can't tell anyone they are lying.
The hospital he's going to does not get medicare or medicaid payments, they aren't allowed. They've had cockroaches in the OR, poor infection control and a bunch of other issues in care and their funding was revoked.
The hospital he's leaving is a very good hospital that's completely full, their ICU is running at >95% capacity since last fall. He has been taking up an ICU bed there since October.
To remove someone from life support, they first do tests to determine if there's brain death. The person must fail a wean test from the vent, get scans of the brain. If they are brain dead, they can remove the ventilator. They were about to do this when the family decided he was plenty good and just needed more food, quack medicines, and some new lungs.
Transplant coordinators will never give an unvaccinated, non-compliant patient a fresh organ. Ever. If someone is brain dead they also do not qualify either- they are expected to be donors at this point.
The family is intensely selfish and have now raised over 100k for his care. About half of that will cover his transfer to TX. the rest? We all know what cows do with donated money.
Clarity: they removed his lines because he is brain dead and doesn't need any medication to stay down. He is dead, the hospital will need to have proved that, in order to remove those lines. Also note the family has repeatedly been in the covid ward and later the ICU without masks, shouting and arguing with staff. They're in an ICU with a medically vulnerable patient in this photo they took, with no/shitty masks. They've been helped by a few of the big disinfo peddlers to ask the cult to harass the hospital he's been at.
It's no less disgusting to see the cash cow of a dead body here than it was with Jahi.

I do wonder why he needs a hospital at all, if he's a stable biomort with a vent; plenty of vents in nursing homes, and plenty of nursing homes in MN.

no nursing home will take him at this point, they're also full of vented patients who are still alive, who have some hope of recovery. (LTCF only take these kind of patients to support temporarily, into recovery, or to give basic care) also the family are confrontational and won't follow rules.
also, no nursing home will give him the quack drugs they're demanding. they'll give supportive care only, and these people are convinced that isn't enough to bring paw paw back.
edit: I don't think he's stable at all, but that's my opinion and I can't speak for the doctors who assessed him for this transfer.
