I have a few personal conspiratard/alt health cows. Today I present to you: the bleach drinkers and the grift that keeps on giving.

Chlorine Dioxide is classified as a chemical used in industrial settings to disinfect surfaces. But what if I told you that it can also disinfect your body? Dissolve cancer? Cure pretty much anything? This miracle cure is known as CDS (Chlorine Dioxide Solution), MMS (Miracle Mineral Supplement) or just "The Miracle Cure", "The Universal Antidote" among others.

It got really big in Latin America when Covid started to hit really badly. After the main grifters and anything related to this substance were uber banned in the US and Europe for no reason in particular two big players in this scene moved their business and advertising to Latin America and Africa: Jim Humble (of religious cult Genesis II infamy) and Andreas Kalcker (German serial scammer, NGM disciple, bought his degree from a diploma mill). A lot could be written about those two alone, it's a pretty interesting rabbithole if you're into eccentric people who form weird cults (Jim Humble) or the mind and machinations of an international alt health grifter (Kalcker).

Originally, it was often touted as a cure for malaria, autism in children and chronic diseases. When Covid, a brand new disease came into the picture, it was also instantly determined as a cure. Here, a new entity appears: COMUSAV.

COMUSAV is responsible for most of the distribution and promotion of CDS as a cure in Latin America. Social media tends to ban them, so they have a Telegram echo chamber.

Anyway, did you just drink a cleaning product and you're feeling ill? Don't worry you're just going through a curative crisis. Your body is working too hard to eliminate those pathogens and those toxins. You'll feel fine in no time. Unlike vaccines, there's no way for these people to acknowledge any sort of long term adverse effect from CDS. If anyone says anything, either they're shut down or told to endure the curative crisis.

The way they microdose on this bleach makes it so they'll start seeing kidney, liver and tissue damage with long term use only, so usually they don't feel that bad the first time they drink it. With stronger doses or misuse of the substance things can get ugly really fast. Other common problems are GI issues and throat/mouth lesions from the caustic properties of the substance. The public telegram chats are full of people seeking help, very enlightening conversations and tip sharing.
