Due to me reflecting today on what scared me and whether I had any phobias (and my recent gorging on creepypastas) I decided this forum is sorely lacking in a repository for general scary stuff from "creepy" stories or series online and IRL, our deepest fears, visceral (getting castrated by a gardening trowel wielded by a semi naked man dressed as a sexy smurf), political (imminant dystopia or political repression) and existential (is there life after death and if so is that a good thing?), and of course any irrational phobias we may hold, from the mundane (spiders, snakes, flying) to the strange (escalators, claymation, certain shades of purple, sausage wiggling psychotics). Basically if something creeps you out post it here so we can mock y....share your concerns in a safe environment.

I've seen the Majora's Mask/"Ben drowned" creepypasta. It's quite unsettling, to say the least. Good thing it was all a hoax anyway.

I have a bit of a phobia of mirrors. I keep thinking that my reflection is gonna start talking to me, or do something on it's own, or a demon is gonna pop out, ect. I try not to look at reflections as much as possible.

Creepy Pastas themselves never scared me because for one thing, I don't believe ghosts or spirits exist, and if they did, how the fuck do they know how to hack video games? Did they take some computer courses in the nether world, for the sole purpose of scaring some nerds?
Lavender town is creepy though, when I played Pokémon as a kid, I tried to just get through Lavender Town as fast as I could. The ep with the gym leader Sabrina creeped me out, as well.

I have Coulrophobia: a fear of clowns.

There's a story behind it, but the short version when I was seven and in Girl Scouts we were going to the circus. So the night before my dad and I were watching a film, which so happened to be Stephen King's "IT", in short: The film revolves around an inter-dimensional predatory life-form, which has the ability to transform itself into its prey's worst fears. It mostly takes the form of a sadistic clown called "Pennywise". So the following day at the circus I was panicking the entire time due to all the clowns I saw, thinking that they were all "Pennywise". And it got worse when my friends were getting photos taken of them with the clowns and I was forced to do so as well. I started to have a breakdown when I was forced to sit on a clown's lap. Fortunately, I was quite relieved when we left, though still shaken up by it all.

Haha, and to this day I still have panic attacks around clowns--real and fake ones.

Apocalyptic things like, the (c)rapture scared me when I was a kid. The only thing that scares me at all now, is the thought of failure.

I get nervous in a lot of social situations, mostly when I'm texting or IMing someone because I worry about what sort of response I'll get. I wouldn't call that a phobia, though. I am paranoid, and I hate when my environment is either too quiet and vacant, or too loud and crowded. Although despite the fact that it startles me, I love big quiet spaces, especially the outdoors. I like the tension, and I love discovering objects and pondering on their past. Even broken beer bottles have told me stories.

So yeah, I embrace the one thing I fear. Spiders aren't a big deal for me, and crazy guys with machetes just make me angry.

Yes its slugs. Seriously. Fuck slugs. I honestly want all slugs to die in salt and piss. Ever since I was a kid slugs have freaked me the fuck out, and I would honestly rather drown in the septic tank than be forced to touch one. I like spiders, am fascinated by scorpions, can handle maggots just fine and have willingly been covered by honeybees without complaint, and even am ok with snails, but slugs are the one animal that i want extinct

As for creepypasta, I'm fond of "Lighthouse" but I find "Jeff the Killer" way overrated (along with "Dead Bart" and anything that involves the word 'hyper-realistic').

I fucking love slugs but I especially like snails. When I was a kid I had a bunch of "pet" garden snails and I gave them little dishes of water made of acorn caps

And since I am a dumbfuck with an overactive imagination, I gorged on Marble Hornets one night while I was home alone and my husband was on a business trip and consequently couldn't sleep thanks to the realization that the bush outside our apartment had some branches that looked eerily like arms...

That's a life lesson I never quite learn. I always seem to get a craving for creepypasta and the like when my parents are due to go out of town.

Other than that, I'm also seriously freaked out by leeches, ticks, and pretty much anything else that sucks blood, except mosquitoes.

I'm terrified of kayaks.

No, seriously, I've almost drowned one too many times in the damned things. They're really small and it's hard to get your legs out and I panic every time I get flipped inoneof them.

As for creepypastas, I have to say, I find the Lost Episode ones to be boring and generic and people should just stop writing them. I like the one where all the worlds drinking water disappears though, that one was creepy.
