Part of the reason people like JY appear so crazy is because they arguably lack the ability to self reflect upon their behavior in terms of it's compatibility with 'healthy' social norms. Most people behave in a way that they perceive will be accepted by their social group, even if they feel conflicted internally. This can be both a good and bad thing depending on the scenario. But JY is so fucked in the head it's like his wires are crossed and he intentionally seeks out and feels empowered by negative and socially isolating behaviors. His self gatekeeping mode is in reverse. Maybe he's been rejected one too many times so this is all part of his emotional defense. Who knows.....

For instance, when the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed, a whole lot of businesses had to be grandfathered in because it wasn't realistic, for instance, to expect that a third story walk-up only accessible by a narrow staircase could have wheelchair ramps.

And there's nothing like the popular groundswell of support for troon restrooms. They insisted that there would be no Yanivs but yet that's what we see every day, and troons don't have any answer for them, and generally mindlessly support them until, like the Rogaine Ogre, continuing to do so becomes synonymous with outright supporting pedophilic sex predators.

Comes down to the argument that it has existed and will exist due to it being a natural occurrence in societies, eg, if the greeks were into bum fucking each other, and the new yorkers are into bum fucking each other, then just outright banning the gays might not solve anything if it's going to happen, regardless of the law. It's usually the same cultures, too. Iran has the death penalty for homosexuality, but they can get out of it if they have trans surgery and pretend to be straight women and men instead of gay men and lesbians. And there's a lot of articles from fundie Christian parents in the US who say things like "I was so worried my son was gay, but it's okay, she's actually a straight girl in a boy's body!" Societies that believe people change their gender need to have strict gender roles in the first place, otherwise there's nothing for them to transition between. The only reason all these cultures have these "third genders" is because they won't accept gay men as "real men", or infertile women as "real women". You don't see this stuff in cultures where men and women have similar social roles.

It's mostly the T and all the other letters after it pulling this mad shit. There's a backlash against it within the LGBT community (such as it is), campaigns like "drop the T", "gay not queer", or Get The L Out. LGB are real, definable things at least: people attracted to the same sex as them or to both sexes, and you see homosexual behaviour in just about every sexually dimorphic species. Troons can't even agree on what "trans" or "gender" even means. Most of them are openly homophobic, telling gay men (and effeminate boys who'd probably grow up to be perfectly happy gay men) that they're not "real men", or telling lesbians they need to suck dick or they're TERFs. There's a few based transsexuals, the old school kind who acknowledge they have severe body dysmorphia and don't demand women and gay people move over for them, and people didn't really have a problem with them because they didn't bother anyone. but there's far more narcissists, fetishists, edgy kids (and creeps like JY trying to prey on the edgy kids) than there are transsexuals.
