Missed quite a few podcasts because there isn't enough booze in the fucking world to sit through these snorefests, but I recently tuned into the latest one:
I will fully admit I skimmed over most of this and skipped to the Ben Shapiro section.
Now, I'm not the biggest fan of Shapiro, and after he embarrassed himself during his interview with Andrew Neil I'm pretty much done with the guy, but Dusty takes him to task here for his views on transgenderism. We get the usual canned response that gender is a social construct, but then the dumbness goes through the roof when Dusty argues that it's possible to change your biological sex. What the actual fuck?! Thought you were an I love science guy Dusty, what is this shit?
He then says Shapiro hasn't cited any scientists to back up his arguments... while himself not citing any scientists to back up his arguments and giving a vague statement that biologists say it's true (gonna name some Dusty? Nope. Didn't think so). He then gets angry at Ben for supposedly saying that transgenderism is a left-wing conspiracy to cause greater government overreach (what Ben was actually saying was the left were pushing for subjectivity rather than objectivity as the norm because it makes their arguments sound more reasonable) and this is where we get to the really dumb part.
Dusty then says that the reason the right are pushing back against gender fluidity is to distract from the problems they're causing in the country. So Dusty gets annoyed when he thinks someone is accusing the left of pushing gender fluidity as part of a wider conspiracy and calls them crazy... but then accuses the other side of opposing gender fluidity as part of a wider conspiracy (and not because it's absolutely bugfuck insane) and somehow that means he's not crazy.
This man is seriously as dumb as a sack of bricks and self-owns like it's an Olympic sport.
Seems Dusty's picked up a co-host too. I didn't stay long enough to find out who they were (he didn't bother crediting them in the description), but they're even more annoying than he is, so the two of them create a critical mass of annoyance.
