I've created a new mod-only thread designation.

Cultcows are a very specific type of lolcow whose thread and drama is completely impenetrable to new users. This is usually because it has devolved to a closed group of people way, way too intimately involved in that person's life. The best example is Gail.

When Christian Weston Chandler was not only the lolcow, but the only lolcow, and starting to taper off, people from the "inner circle" Chris trolling groups wanted to recreate him and start the ride over again. Gail, a schizophrenic, was their mark.

Gail has a unique tendency to believe absolutely everything she is told and parrot that information verbatim. The original results were promising, especially in a "Bukkake" video where she went off for 5 minutes about how all of Canada had been destroyed by a Jesuit-built weapon of mass destruction whose payload was millions of gallons of semen. The humor stops dead in its tracks, however, when she gets a call on Skype mid-video. A young person begins frantically reporting 'from the scene' about all the bodies coated in cum strewn throughout the streets.

It become painfully obvious from the call that (a) she has very little ability to discern fact from fiction, (b) none of the funny stuff is her own idea, (c) she only accepts it as fact to use it as evidence to support her not-as-funny belief about a Jesuit world order, and most interestingly that (d) a bunch of creepy weirdos are controlling this person's life.


Cult status is not a good thing. It usually happens because of extreme emotional issues that should not exist on this site. I'll use Solid Mario as an example.

Solid Mario gets a thread. He likes to draw Bart Simpson naked and wants to fuck Bart Simpson. Kinda funny and weird. He comes onto the forum with two accounts that are both him putting on good-cop-bad-cop alter egos, which I skin as Butters and Professor Chaos because it's funny.

After a while the humor stops. The same people continue to beat him over the head. "You're the BARTFUCKER you should feel bad about being the BARTFUCKER" and then when he doesn't feel bad they start trying to inflict pain on him, at first by just being dicks, and then when that doesn't work doxing his grandfather (whom he is not a dependent of). "Yeah BARTFUCKER I bet your grandfather doesn't know you're a BARTFUCKER does he?? Feel bad yet BARTFUCKER????"

At this point you're not having fun. You're not using the webzone to have fun on the online. You're become a creepy weirdo who desires an inordinate amount of control over a mentally ill person and their family. You've become... a cultist.

Over time they started coming to her house to have Thanksgiving dinner with her. They remind her to take her meds. They tell her to exercise.

When I was young my mom told me a story about a woman she knew who had a schizophrenic son. Satan would talk to him and tell him to clean his room, do his chores, and study for tests or he would go to hell. She would deny him his antipsychotics because the voices would stop and he would become a couch potato.

There is something uniquely unethical about using fear and schizophrenia to get people to take care of themselves, and the people exerting this control have something to gain. The mother wants a dutiful son, the trolls want to control a woman's life. You can excuse it however you want but that is the cause and effect.

Regardless of the outcome it is not something I want anything to do with.

Can we just lock the threads that get this designation? There's nothing more to gleam from Solidmario or Autphag or Brad Watson. These threads are masses of autism and the people who regularly post in them are worse than the cows at this point.

I find the topic interesting.

Even if the cult is shitty and unfunny, depending on the context, I think their interaction with the cow can still have a positive effect on the whole for the cow.
Cows by definition have something off about them, and have lost perspective of reality to some degree, and the only real cure for that is social interaction, and frequently their eccentricities have totally alienated them from society creating a negative feedback loop.

The cult is symptomatic of people who come here looking to judge others and feel better about themselves rather than just observe and be entertained.
Seem to be projecting their own insecurities or guilt onto the cow as a voodoo fetish and then coddle or punish it.

Brad Watson

Exactly what I was thinking of when I read OP. There is absolutely nothing to gain from the thread after the first 20 pages, because at that point it's just Brad giving people F's, and people circlejerking around the F's, and so on. Cow/Forumgoer interaction makes threads unreadable (Shaner, Strykerwolf, the aforementioned Autphag and Brad Watson). I remember someone saying that cows need to be threadbanned if they show up on site, and I think anyone who would be forced to read through the autism that is the Watson thread with a gun pointed to their skull would agree with that.

I personally think the people following Tommy Tooter are still having fun and it hasn't devolved too far into some cult thing like Watson or even SolidMario. I need to clarify a few things, I have no actual intention of ruining anyone's life or controlling it based on ideas possibly projected by other users whom don't know what's really going on.

Back in April after the BlackBusterCritic video, Thomas sought me out on Discord to demand I delete everything I've posted, made threats and has randomly repeated said actions till June when telling him to fuck off finally worked, I would have blocked him, but he would keep making Discord socks so I didn't bother.

After he left me be on Discord, he joined CLP (we all know how that ended up) and did the sock theater till it went down, then continued doing the same sock show on dA to A-Log the evil BBC, and well the dox happened and here we are. Yes, doxing a deceased relative was a shitty thing to do, I have no intention of doing it again, As for what @A Hot Pizza did, I had nothing to do with that.

I do actually find SolidMario fascinating cause his motives behind his recent activity is cause he asserts his life sucks and was ruined by a video made by an obscure Youtuber five years ago, one that doesn't even make videos anymore mind you, if an entitled overweight manchild that takes everything on the internet that serious, talks to himself with socks, claims his life sucks yet he goes to Disneyland 3-5 times a year doesn't make for an good lolcow, then I don't know what does.

Most importantly lets not forget:

These people are commonly referred to as Lolcows and are fascinating for reasons distinct to each spectator. We document the phenomenon, with every member bringing different perspectives and opinions to discussion. It is this diversity which has caused our peculiar community to thrive.

I feel as if Tommy boy has an iron grip over the tone of conversation in the thread and that makes it a pain to read, and it makes it difficult for people who want to find out exactly why everyone's so pissed at him (the wiki page for him is pretty underdeveloped especially considering what people have been saying about him).

Tommy chimps out against the forumites once or twice, ends up growing the thread 3-4 pages with every chimpout, and he loses his shit a lot, thus creating a bloated thread. Ban the cows, and maybe threads that are huge problems and circlejerks wouldn't be so weird and cultish.

Tbh I don't find fucking with people like Gail or Terry Davis who are literally batshit insane funny or interesting. I mean a good deal of lolcows have legitimate disorders like autism or whatever that makes them more prone to that behavior but it doesn't absolve them of responsibility for it. The Tommy thread is @yawning sneasel's and everyone who knows him also knows he hates that type of shit. That thread has more content than any thread it's size here and more than most much smaller.

Honestly, from what I've seen I think the general consensus is that you are the only person to regularly post in any SolidMario thread who has actually consistently provided worthwhile content. Don't worry about it.

There are definitely a few impenetrable threads on this website that meet this criteria. Like you walk into one to read about the cow; make a joke and then take off. You come back a few months later and notice like these same three users have been the sole posters for the past 50 pages and are just being angry at the cow and jerking off to each others posts. Weirdest thing is like you don't see them anywhere else on the board either.

Cult works just fine for these threads.
